Substandard cleanliness is an understatement

Room was filthy, stains over chairs, thick clumps of dust to side of radiator clearly not been cleaned in years, Top of window frames filthy dirty with thick dust and Room window frame broken and window rattled all night. Bath had hairs on it and not been cleaned also and floor tiles cracked Wallpaper peeling everywhere in room. Breakfast was just as bad lady who did the meet and great was extremely rude with hardly any hot food it was not replenished for over 45mins. Waited over 25min for pot of tea if serving teas is an issue perhaps invest in a self serve machine.

Good for location. Bed and rok. Comfortable and nice and warm. Breakfast was almost non existent. Nothing was replenished and when it was, there wasnt enough to go around so ended up with just 2 pieces of toast

Was a lovely experience as my Mum many years ago worked as a hairdresser in the Hotel and she did Elizabeth Taylors hair so was a nice treat to come stay here to walk through an iconic building

Spacious and comfortable room

Room was very spacious and bed comfortable, appreciate it’s an old building but double glazing on the main road side would make the room quieter, decor of the building in general needs cleaning/updating

Clean, central and reasonable

The hotel was ideal for a stay in the city with being central. Very clean, huge room but lacked character and a little tired, could see it was a beautiful hotel in it's day. Saying that would stay again as it was good for what we required and reasonably priced.

Beautiful, spacious room with comfy beddings and good room amenities. It was not thoroughly cleaned unfortunately - found a french fry and potato crumbs by the armchair - yikes. Love the location - the Cardiff Castle is just across the road and can be seen from my room windows. For that, I rate my stay excellent!
