Loved the pools and spa facilities, the outside area and view are great, rooms large enough and clean, breakfast very good with excellent choice, live entertainment most nights, bus stop right outside door with frequent service into Palma

I have been staying in Riu Palace hotels over the last 20 years because they were a good quality hotel. They are definitely cutting back on staff, quality of service, and food in their restaurants and are becoming no better than a lot of other 4 star hotels. They are rated as 4 star superior but the shine has gone off this hotel chain.

Classy hotel & right on the sea front.

I've stayed here a couple of times this summer and it's a great experience. I find that you get a warm welcome plus if you arrive early and your room is not yet ready the hotel staff will seat you at the panoramic bar with a glass of champagne. They will also let you use a courtesy room if you wish to change out of your travel clothes and into something more suitable for the hot weather. The staff are unfailingly polite and friendly and I will definitely return.

Large hotel with nice views of the sea.

Pros: Beautiful views and very well trained staff (overall). Well kept facilities (swimming pools, gym, spa, sunning desk & deck chairs, and gardens)
Cons: Sound proof blinds could be installed in the noisier rooms. Increase the number of courtesy rooms to three or four. Make access to sea easier.
Location: Very good location with easy access to airport (by car). Ideally located for sailing, scuba diving, snorkeling rowing etc.
We were warmly received and our initial impression was very favorable. Given the situation of out room (first floor facing the main swimming pool) it was difficult to fall asleep (despite being very tired) on the first nigh, due to loud music. We let reception know and they were sympathetic and helpful, we couldn't be moved to a quieter room until the third (and last) night because the hotel was full, but they were clearly trying to help us and on the second night the music was less loud and it ended earlier. Breakfast and supper were well provided for with a wide variety of good quality food. The staff across all the facilities were always smiley and polite. Overall it was a positive experience.

Nice hotel in a good location...

We had a very pleasant stay in Riu Palace Bananza Playa. Very nice hotel and not far from the centre of Palma. Food was excellent and staff was very helpful.

Perfect for a break

Great hotel - only downside that not much going on nearby but taxis are good value and bus links excellent
