Historic hotel located right in the heart in DT Calgary. Clean, comfortable room with top notch service. Only issues are that the gym is too small and it would be nice if there were some more affordable parking options. But, despite these things, Iwould def stay there again.

Classical Feel that Goes Back In Times
The hotel is old and it shows. It showcases it's heritage and timelessness. Questioning the interior design of the room though. We got the King bedroom and it was in a shape of a U with the bed at the end of the curve. Definetly ask and get the Fairmont Gold upgrade if it fits your budget, the club room was really nice.

Beautiful old hotel. The bar and lobby is stunning. Rooms have been modernized but the bathrooms could use a little more work and are on the small size. The amenities are basic but functional.

We were upgraded to the gold floor and paid the difference. We were promised a suite but there was a miscommunication between the front desk and the gold floor desk. Anyway, no issues after until our cards wouldn’t work on the elevator up from the spa. We had to go to the main floor with wet bathrobes at 10:30pm asking for a new card. The front desk was rude. Gave us new cards. We came back and said we still are having issues. Everyone staring at us while having their dinner at the main floor restaurant and lounge. Main desk gave us new cards and sent the bellboy. We asked him to take us up to the gold floor. He didn’t believe that we had stayed up there and we had to tell him our room number for him to confirm. Elevator still didn’t work. 25 mins of all this in, the manager came and took us up to our room. We had wasted almost half an hour of birthday celebrations because of this issue. A month prior during our stay there this also happened and we didn’t complain but this time we are. The issue is the lack of professionalism workers can have
