Well you get a room that is very tired paint chips etc then the carpet that has peaks and troughs. A old tv that cant play hi definition nor is it a smart tv that u could use your streaming service with Then in the morning you open the kitchen drawer to german cockroaches total disaster over priced its 80 a night thats what it should be This place is appalling no one should pay the inflacted price for a shithold Ive stay in motels at 130 a night that would be 5 star compared with this disaster I will never stay again

There where no bedside table lamos or lights nor a light switch near the bed to turn out the ceiling light. The switch to turn out the ceiling light was situated next to the door to the room The shower was also faulty. Despite me reporting these to reception nothing got done about them. Ver disappointed.

I stay at the Ridge regularly and prefer staying here. On the night of the 19th of November 2024, a tenant was evicted from his property on Level 3 and crashing and banging things around that it was impossible to sleep. I had to go out and confront him myself.

The size of the apartment was very large. However the aparment could with new carpets and a new sofa ( the sofa needed a good clean also) generally the apartment is in need of updating. The light in one of the bathrooms stopped working. Staff tried to replace a bulb but an electrician was required, which did not happen during our stay. The location was witin reasonable walking distance of all attractions. Despite the issues the staff were very friendly and tried to address the issus promptly

Disappointing, dated and tired
Unfortunately the images used to promote The Ridge are misleading. Our studio was extremely dated and tired, especially the kitchen and bathroom facilities. There was no feeling of luxury, mould on the bathroom ceiling and shower head leaking and spraying in all directions. The bed was reasonably comfortable, the air con worked well, and the room was visibly clean.

The building's posh modern look outside is in stark contrast to the inside. My apt, though spacious and clean, showed clear signs of rowdy previous guests and the furniture looked as if it had been bought 2nd hand. A stand for my suitcase was lacking. The carpet on the floor looked like it had been fitted either hastily or by an amateur and the shower cabin's glass door had plenty of chalk residue on it. Even the desk at reception showed signs of wear and tear. Maintaining the building and apartments is clearly not high on the priority list of the owners. The hotel's location is pretty good. Several bus lines have stops nearby, the train station is less than a 10 minutes walk with a small Woolworths across the street. Queen St. Mall (large Woolworths) is only 15 minutes walking , the botanical gardens and ferris wheel are around 25 minutes. Overall I'd rate this property as adequate for a short stay.

Basic and cheap for overnight stay from airport. Expect to pay $100 on top for cabs. Had to call police after witnessing a young woman in tears at the lift and her brute of a partner assailing her to return to their room in an expletive ridden discussion with her. No reception staff after hours and checkin took 10 minutes because of the process. I wouldnt stay again.

Hotel is great and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We booked one night and had a 12am flight the following day and the gentlemen helping us allowed us not only an early check in / late check out but also offered to allow us to hang at the hotel lounge/pool until we were ready to head to the airport. Apartment style hotel with a nice pool and full kitchen including a few nice touches like a full size fridge freezer and nespresso coffee machines.

Shoddy room in a tired building. Room not clean, curtains and carpets stained, paint peeling, woodwork knackered, ripped sheets. It may be this particular room, but it is nothing like the description or pictures, and without doubt the worst Expedia booked place I have stayed in. I can see from previous reviews that I’m not the only one, and based on my experience cannot understand how this has a 7.8 rating. The only good point was the staff were perfectly pleasant.

Really loved my stay at this hotel. Room was super spacious and the pool area was lovely. Only faults are that the reception area closes at 5pm and that the key fobs are slightly defective.

The property was clean and tidy although starting to look a little tired (damaged bedside tables, stained carpet etc). Was fairly in line with what I expected at the price I paid for a last-minute booking. Was not to the standard that I would avoid it in the future but not high-end motel quality. The communication was excellent and the staff very helpful when contacted over the phone/internet for my stay (I checked in and out outside of hours).

The actual apartment was great. Beautiful views with a big kitchen. Very clean and tidy. The costumer service/communication was sub optimal. We were told check in was between 2-5pm. We arrived at 4:45pm to no reception staff and a text saying we were out of hours and need to call the after hours number to get checked in. 3 phone calls and on hold for 10 minutes each time… no answer. We ended up being let into the lock box with the apartment keys by a resident. Other than that, great apartment which we were very comfortable.

Would not recommend. Photos advertised do not match the actual place. Room was noisy- street noise and from other rooms on the floor. Curtains were broken and did not close correctly. Dust still on surfaces. Bed was uncomfortable. Stayed for 4 nights and given 2 bars of small soap for four people, 2 small packets of dishwash liquid, 1 rubbish bag and no sink plug- complained and was given more. Things were broken around the apartment- clothes airer rack, curtain rail, shower door off hinges slightly. Open wires hanging off speakers. Stairs up into the hotel- had to get small children out of pram and carry them up as well as luggage. Not family friendly

The staff were well informed and friendly. It’s clean tidy and well maintained. Good proximity to delicious eateries and cafes. Not to far to the city centre and local supermarkets. Really good stay!
