Great walking distance to all major attractions.Rooms lean but could use an update.
It was very convenient to downtown Salem.
The downside is that for a Hampton Inn it is VERY expensive. We paid over $500/night. And, while a perfectly nice Hampton Inn it's not worth that. They charge that rate because of supply/demand in Salem which is ok but the witch stuff is over the top.
I’ll start with the bad, property isn’t that clean the carpet all around is dirty and so are the elevators, our room upon arrival had a hairball and lashes on the bathroom floor we asked to be moved and our second room was still dirty but better we just stuck with it. Other than that the staff is nice, breakfast is good and is constantly being restocked, they offer coffee & tea in the lobby which was great. It’s a nice location close to everything. If I come back to Salem I will probably stay again
Loved everything about our stay! Able to accommodate a last minute change in reservation, free breakfast, parking was so convenient, connected restaurant offered discount to guests of the hotel. This location was perfect especially for first time visitors to the area. It was so close to a lot of the attractions we planned to see. Great restaurants nearby. Right next to a Walgreens which was a great help to our stay. The staff could not have been more helpful or welcoming. 10/10 recommend.
This hotel was a great location to great restaurants and shops. Walkable to popular sight seeing attractions. Staff were friendly. Building was clean. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again
Don't bother to stay here!
My visa was charged the full amount on the first day, and then on their end it didn’t show as having been paid, which resulted in 4 days of mystery charges appearing, which are above the amount quoted for the room. The manager was extremely unreasonable and unhelpful, insisting that this is a problem with my bank and not offering to phone head office or hampton inn financial to find out what the problem is. I still have charges Im having my bank dispute.
