If you need somewhere basic and cheap to stay, this is fairly convenient as there are several bus stops nearby, a U-Bahn a short walk away, the Zoo is 10 minutes walk and there's a cheap supermarket and takeout places too. The room itself looked nothing like what was advertised, felt dirty and the pillows were awful. Would stay again but only in a pinch.

Looking for another star?
The whole place was invaded with (outdoors) smokers and loud drinkers. The noise levels and the second hand smoke would come into the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly otherwise. There was a kitchenette possibly for breakfast but no pans and dishes to use it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was really clean. However it was advertised as having a mini kitchen but there was only a kettle and a microwave, no cooker and no cups, bowls or utensils, so you couldn't eat there. Also there was a building site opposite so you couldn't open the windows, so it was hot in the room as there was no air con.

The reviews said close to everything and we didn’t find that was the case at all. There was huge amounts of construction. So there was no beauty around the premises at all. But the hotel was a fine place to rest up to venture out.

Hotel Lutzow - good value, no frills,
Very good hotel, and good value. A clean, comfortable and efficient "no frills" hotel, but breakfast were definitely 'a cut above'. One nice touch I liked very much was the hot food options at the breakfast, scrtambled egg and two more buffet options such as sausages. Ideal for Brits.
