My room was clean. It is small but using it only to sleep as I was out all day is worth it. It is in a great location with walking distance to major spots. Friendly staff. I would choose this hostal again!

I cannot fault our stay. The hotel was very comfortable, neat and tidy and clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent too. The location couldn't have been better. We would definitely revisit. Excellent value.

Nice 2 stars hotel close to the Rambla and La Barceloneta. I recommend it also for families with baby! We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the receptionists are really kind and polite.

Super for the location , but its very noisy , no sound prof , whenever next room shut their door, people walking talking on the street , we all wake up . Old air condition , never sleep in the room feel like next to the water fountain all night . Cant sleep :(

Very small, very hot, good breakfast!
Hostal Fernando was in a great location in the city! It was clean and overall an okay stay. They had a great breakfast buffet & we enjoyed the food! The rooms are VERY small, when we saw the photos online of the family room we did not think we would be staying in a very large suite...however, this room was smaller than any single person bedroom I have stayed in. Be warned that the photos online make the rooms look MUCH bigger than they are. While we could have been 100% okay with our small room as the place was clean, the staff was kind, and the food was good...our air unit was broken. When on AC it would blow very hot air to which they told us they had it set to only use heat right now. The next day our room would be cold and feel great despite what they had said, and then be scalding again. The air unit would then be turned only to fan per instructions of the staff and yet would still blow burning hot air. Our room was about 80 degrees (F) and incredibly humid. The bathrooms do not have a vent so the room would just be warmer. We continually asked the staff to come take a look or to bring us a fan and they did not do so until the last of 5 nights. I would probably not stay here again as we were basically unable to rest in our room. Our things felt hot and sticky and wet the entire time. We would get ready in the hallway to avoid being in the hot room and would have the door open during the day.
