Flea Infestation, difficulty contacting property manager
This place has a lot of potential but needs work. It is not as described online. When we pulled up we noticed overgrown bushes around the home and the lawn needed mowing. Two of the windows appeared recently replaced and the trim around them was not finished. Several windows were missing screens. The stairs to the beach are unsafe as a result of storm damage. My daughter woke up covered in flea bites. We discovered that the room she was sleeping in upstairs (with one of the unfinished windows) was infested with fleas! We called customer service but they failed to send anyone out to check. After multiple attempts to contact them we left and went to a motel. My husband and I had to fight to get our money back. I finally contacted the Better Business Bureau. Vacasa eventually refunded me for the unused nights but did not refund my fees.

Bar Harbor and Acadia were incredible. Property had a replacement, unfinished window in first floor bedroom. Stairs to beach are a hazard and made us not want to use the beach.

Great house!
We loved this house! The location was perfect: not too far from town but far enough away fromt he crowds. Perfect size for our group of 4 to spread out and be comfortable. 2 very minor things: lignt going up the upstairs didnt work, and a nightlight in the upstairs hallway would be very helpful for middle of the night trips to the bathroom. Also, I would suggest marking the driveway a little better. We came in at dark and it was hard to see. Overall, we loved our stay, and would stay again if we ever find ourselves here again.

Acadia and Bar Harbor Experience
Was the perfect spot near everything yet private. We loved the place and was very clean. Especially love the walk to the water. Inside is a little dated and a couple of blinds needed some repair but overall was perfect and would recommend!

Bar Harbor
Lovely property just outside of Bar Harbor. Stayed in hotels before in town; this is first time doing VRBO and would do this again. House was just right size for 4 adults. Linens and towels provided. Had stuff to make coffee, tea, etc. Fans are provided, no A/C but just use fans and open windows. They could use a better marker or something out front by the driveway to identify house, especially at night. Back yard, there is a short walk to the beach. Overall, great experience and would do this again.

A great place!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. The house is spacious and has a very well stocked kitchen. The waterfront access is wonderful. The house feels very private and secluded, but it is so close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. Our family really enjoyed our time at this house.

Pros: - clean - great location - charming cottage - well stocked - direct oceanfront access - wooded atmosphere/privacy - value - responsive property manager - small checkout/clean-up to-do list Cons: - guests may not use the fireplace - main level master bedroom mattress was overly soft/worn Would definitely stay again

Good location but should be cleaner.
The setting and location were great for attending a wedding in Bar Harbor and exploring Acadia. The private beach was a peaceful, lovely place to sit, relax and take in the view. The beds were comfortable and linens appeared clean. Vacasa says they have a Premium Clean Program. They seem to have missed this rental. There were dried food smudges and crumbs on the counters, the tables, in the kitchen drawers with the utensils etc., in the sink, in the refrigerator, in the toaster oven, in the microwave and on the stove and floors. The dishwasher was full of “clean” dishes when we arrived, which was fine, but some of the dishes came out of the dishwasher dirty. The bathrooms were in better shape but still required a wipe down for my comfort level after seeing the kitchen. For 6 nights we had one bath towel each which seems kind of skimpy. We could have used the washer and dryer but we were busy on vacation. The fire detector in the downstairs bedroom went off 2 times in the middle of the same night and we changed the batteries. When calling the local Vacasa number which was posted on the refrigerator, the next day, they said they had been experiencing the same thing with previous visitors and had changed the battery but would send someone to tend to it again. In conclusion it was a good place to stay but I’m glad we had some cleaning supplies with us.

Great Stay in Maine
The house is beautiful, spacious, and super clean. My family enjoyed the beach access and had fun seeing what the tide would bring in each day. The only issue which was minor is that we were unable to access the screened-in porch(as it was locked from the inside with no keys provided and no note providing an explanation) which was a feature we were excited to use. I would recommend this property highly to anyone traveling to Bar Harbor.

Good location but could be cleaner
We soent 5 nights here. It was very convenient to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Pluses: House was very large and on a quiet road near the water. Minuses: Could have been cleaner. Not dusted well. Dishes and silverware needed to be washed before use as they were clearly dirty. Kitchen table and kitchen counters were greasy and had to be cleaned. Beds were small. House smelled a little musty.

Perfect location
This house was just perfect for us. The size and layout gave us a chance to gather comfortably and gave us privacy when needed. Each floor had a comfortable bedroom, full bathroom and sitting rooms. The house was a few minutes to the Acadia entrance and to downtown Bar Harbor. It was quiet and had a beautiful path to the water in the backyard. It was so well stocked and we appreciated the fact that all we had to bring was food. Paper goods, dish and washing machine products as well as soap and shampoo were all provided. We would return to this special house in a heartbeat.

Great vacation in Bar Harbor
My husband and I along with another couple stayed here for the week. Plenty of space and very clean. Once you walk down to the beach access, the view of the water opens up and is gorgeous. Great location. About a 10-15 min drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. No complaints!

Great short break with access to Acadia National Park
Once we figured out how to pen up the lock box (user error) and got in to the property everything was good. Beach was a short walk through the woods. Great access to the bay and we rented some kayaks to take advantage of this. We had everything we needed, other than fans for the bedrooms, but a short hop to Walmart fixed that. Had some initial issues with the internet but a quick text and we were all sorted. Overall a good stay, just a little hot in the house due to a heatwave.

Great place unless it's Rainy
It is really a great place. It is private, away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Bar Harbor and Acadia Park that it was easy to join the crowds whenever we wanted to.My only complaint is about wifi. They need a booster. On the rainy evenings we had trouble getting wifi and tv.

Mussel bay shoreline
House was very roomy and cozy and had everything that one would need. Access to the shoreline was great. We did have problems trying to get the tv to work since someone had put a parental lock on and we did not know the code. There should be directions posted for renters. All in all it was a relaxing stay.

Perfect for a family stay
Three generations of our family stayed comfortably at the house, ranging from ages 5 to 69. We loved having one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor, as my dad’s mobility is not great. The kids loved the Apple trees and beach access. There was more than enough space to have friends over to visit, and the kitchen was well stocked so we could prepare many of our meals there. We plan to stay again!
