Nice staff and relaxed

Cons: Would like drinking water to be available in room.
The staff were nice, the room was clean, parking was easy and the rate was good.

Extremely old and tired room

The hotel reception and staff were welcoming but our room was awful. It was so old and dated. Rusty radiators, hideous decor... it felt like it had been stuck in a time warp. I was embarrassed that I’d brought my partner here.

One night break to celebrate family birthday.

Pros: Views
Cons: Towels in swimming area.
Location: Beautiful location with lots of nearby things to do and see.
Lovely hotel with excellent views. Very comfortable. Pool etc. very nice but towels were really thin and could do with being renewed. Breakfast lovely. Staff very pleasant

Good value for money

The room is in need of updating, little shabby especially in the bathroom, everything worked and staff very helpful, will stop again

A mixed review for a mixed hotel

The Westlodge hotel has a leisure centre which is lovely, the staff are very friendly and the breakfast selection is good. Our room was in the old part of the hotel, the beds were new and comfortable, the room and bathroom were very dated but clean. However, the noise from the adjacent and upstairs rooms was very bad and the plumbing noises from the surrounding bathrooms and pipes was particularly disturbing. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, there was no tea making facilities or complimentary water in the room and the fire exit at the end of the corridor (we were on the ground floor) was broken and could not be closed so the door was permanently open leading into the public car park. Overall we found it to be very basic but if you need a place to stay with children it would probably be fine and maybe ask for a room in the new wing of the hotel.

Für unseren Kurzaufenthalt (B&B) ok.

Pros: Lage, für unseren Bedarf akzeptabler Preis. Möglichkeit der Benutzung des Hallenbades.
Cons: Auch ein gepflegtes Detail wie ein nicht verkalkter Duschkopf macht sich gut. Gewisse Renovations-/Unterhaltsarbeiten an die Hand nehmen ...
Location: Bantry / Irland Wunderbare Landschaft, Ausflüge (mit dem Auto problemlos) in Umgebung / Südosten Irlands.
Hotel nur für eine Nacht gebucht wegen Durchreise (Bed and Breakfast). Bettwäsche und Bad ok und sauber, Duschkopf verkalkt (gemeldet bei Abreise). Zimmer eher abgenutzt. Personal freundlich. Sehr gute Lage etwas ausserhalb von Bantry und ruhig, viele Parkplätze. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ok. Ob andere Zimmerstandards zu etwas höheren Preisen verfügbar wären, weiss ich nicht. Aber das haben wir ja nicht gesucht. Das Haus steht in Verbindung mit dem Hallenbad des Leisure Centers. Wir haben das Bad aber nicht benutzt. Aufenthalt kann für eine Nutzung wie die unsrige weiterempfohlen werden. Im Bedarfsfall wegen weiteren Zimmerangeboten abklären.
