Decent, no frillls room
Decent stay. Hotel needs a maintenance and would have been nice to know that the room had no refrigerator or microwave. Other minor annoyances, like the tub stopper not working, ice & vending machines being broken on our floor, and strong odor on first floor/breakfast area really started racking up. It wasn't until after checking in that I noticed that the hotel staff apparently repeatedly caims that "renovations are forthcoming" (but they have been claiming that for literally 7 years with the same issues are still present!). At least the bed was comfortable and it had a decent sized TV, so the stay was passible.

The room was very nice, clean, and cozy. Probably the only hotel I've stayed at in a long time that still serves actual food for breakfast instead of just prepackaged junk. Starr was friendly and attentive. Very good stay.

What a mess
Hotel was under renovation, Which I try to avoid ever having a reservation and a hotel that’s being renovated. I was not made aware of the renovation before arriving. Although I had checked in online, the front desk made me fill out paperwork when I asked she became surly and told me that she was just doing her job and fill out the paperwork. She put me on the third floor, which was the floor that was being renovated. See attached picture. You can see that there was no access to anywhere on the floor from the elevator went back down to the lobby. She was very discourteous, actually annoyed with me for asking for another room. She ended up putting me on the fourth floor and throwing desk items around just to let me know how annoyed she was. She announced that I was in the last room available, my assumption is she wanted to make sure I knew that I could not come back down to the front desk to ask for another one. The room was fine, although it smelled strange , like cleaning fluid and dirty clothes. Not an enjoyable experience. I’ll be back to Austin on a monthly basis, but will not be booking with this hotel again.

I don’t know about other room but my room’s card knob are terrible, I have to insert the card repeatedly to finally get green light or no luck Sometime it won’t work for 5 minutes so I gave up and went to front desk for redo the card and mostly it help and finally work in few attempt, it’s annoying

My little Austin hotel I frequent
I love the location and the hotel is under renovation so even still they should maintain a level of cleanliness more than they are maintaining. Staff was all wonderful.
