I was a little shocked by the condition of the property (really old; scratched/dingy furniture and fixtures). Felt like a lipstick on a pig situation. It offered an acceptable level of comfort and it was clean, but it was not a nice or aesthetically pleasing experience at all.

So much potential. The staff was great, the location was nice, it looked cool, but the hotel was very hot. Our air conditioning didn't work in our room. The engineer came up and messed with it a bit, but it was like sleeping in a sauna. It was a hot week in DC, but you'd like to escape it once you enter your hotel. The common areas were also uncomfortably hot. We also lost the water for an entire day, which besides not having water in our room, it also closed down the bar/restaurant. A water main isn't the fault of the hotel, but maybe an apology or a discount, free water, anything...

Location and quality was good for the price. Pretty mediocre service, staff was cool. They charge 15 dollars for breakfast, and the options are very limited and not up to par for 15 dollars. It only had bagels, lunch meat, bread, pancakes and cereal. No eggs no bacon and still expected to pay. Also need to upgrade AC. Overall good.
