Good place close to the National Mall and Wharf
6 day stay. This was my fourth or fifth stay at this Residence Inn. It has a great location for visiting the museums at the National Mall. It is an easy walk to the Mall and only a 1/2 mile walk to the Wharf, a great place for dinner. There is a metro station for the Blue Line less than two blocks a way, and for the red line a bit further but a very easy walk. There are few places to eat within a few blocks of the hotel. The folks who work there are quite friendly and helpful. The place is clean. Many families stay here during the summer, probably because of the free breakfast. It can get a bit noisy with the young children, but there is a separate room that is quiet. Palatable breakfast but they do run out of things on the weekend. One oddity was that the cleaners walked into my room at 8:15 AM--not sure why they'd be cleaning rooms that early. Another plus--it's a 10 minute cab ride to Reagan National Airport. If you're into walking, it's a nice walk to Eastern Market on the weekend--but take Independence to Pennsylvania to get there. This is not a swanky place but it is quite pleasant and the free breakfast will get you going without having to stop to get one or to make one in your room--though there is a full kitchen in the woom except for no oven.

The hotel was good and easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was full but american style, means there is less fruit as well as very little marmalade, cheese, ham etc. The room was good, but quite dark, so we always had the lights on.

Great place to stay to tour DC.
Arrived tired and hungry and Tanya got us checked in immediately! Great place to stay for sightseeing. We spent most of our time walking around the Mall and found that the walk was very reasonable for most museums. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were a great start to our day. I’d like to come back to DC again sometime and I’d happily stay here again.

I booked through Expedia and thought it was for a 2-bedroom suite - a perfect fit for young folks and old folks. Upon arrival, we were sent to a 1-bedroom suite with a sleeper sofa. Nice enough, but not what I THOUGHT I was booking for $1300 for 3 days. I did NOT look carefully enough at my booking! Luckily, a 2-bedroom upgrade was available for an additional $100/night. In all, while this was a nice enough place, the carpets were stained, the breakfast crowded (though very tasty), and not what I would've expected for more than $500/night room. Also note, the hotel DOES allow dogs and the one next door to us barked fairly continuously.
