My wife and I had a wonderful time! The location was awesome. The staff was SUPER HELPFUL. I'm sorry, but I lost the list of names to thank. Something that might not seem special, but was: My wife immigrated to the US in 2016 and earned her citizenship during the Covid pandemic. This was her first time in Washington DC and the staff had put her name on the television screen on our second day. She was ecstatic!

The Motto is a modest and affordable lodging option that I chose because of the price and its proximity to the CapitalOne Arena (3 minutes walking). Another reason to choose the Motto?: the STAFF! AMAZING and ATTENTIVE dot COM! Every single person I interacted with was so genuinely friendly, accommodating, and helpful (both in-person and over the phone, which really speaks to their level of customer service!). Special shout out to Michael and the other young man whose name escapes me (started with a D? Please forgive me for forgetting! Haha). I felt SO at home - the service was definitely the highlight of my stay. Again, my room was incredibly modest in terms of amenities (and pretty small), but the space was very clean and the service was so incredible that never felt like I was missing anything. I got everything I needed out of my stay/the accommodations. No frills, ALL vibes! I’ll be back again and again, for sure. Thank you all SO much! <3

The rooms may be TINY, but everything else about this hotel is awesome!! The rooms are clean and have everything you need. But it was the rooftop bar that was our favorite. Great food and drinks and a beautiful view. Walking distance to most things and right across the street from the subway.

Staff were friendly and helpful but room was really noisy and I hardly got any sleep the whole time. There was noise from adjacent rooms, AC unit in the room is really loud, lots of noise from outside including music from the metro station across the road, and the road seemed to be the local drag strip in the evenings.
