This hotel was perfect for us. We were able to walk to all of the major monuments and museums. It is 5 minutes from the air and space museum and the Bible museum. It is 8-10 minutes from the national mall. The hotel was very clean. The beds were fairly comfortable. The staff was always very helpful and nice. There was a small area for kids to play. If we go back to DC, this will be our hotel of choice.

The location is perfect, only 15 minute walk to the Smithsonian museums, and 20-25 minutes to most of the memorials. The hotel is a bit dated, peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, holes in the carpet; but the staff are amazing! The restaurants- one for breakfast and one for lunch/dinner were excellent.

Everything was good. Check in was easy. Restaurant at the hotel was good and reasonably priced. The room that we stayed in was a bit cramped due to a large desk structure that we didn’t need at all. I also read about a “pillow menu” that was no longer occurring.

Evrything was good ; the room was clean; staff was friendly; however the room was not sound proofed and we could here cars outside - there was a semi truck parked outside the whole night and we could hear the motor running; on the last night it rained and even the raindrops on the rooftop was heard so we really didn’t get good quality sleep.

The hotel is very clean. The soaps, shampoo and conditioner were actually ones you would use in your own home! Easy walking to the monuments and museums. We would definitely stay here again. They only down side was you have limited eating establishments within walking distance. The hotel has two restaurants, but it gets very pricey to eat at them when on an extended stay. So we went to the Safeway and bought some breakfast and lunch groceries. We had a nice vacation,

My stay was good. The staff were all very polite, friendly, and helpful. But the room was ok at best. The refrigerator didn’t get cold, the room was semi clean, the lining they put in the tub was coimg up and the beds felt like you were sleeping on a box spring. They can definitely use some updates to the property. Now it is close to a lot of the museums, capital, white house, and all the tourists attractions. But overall my stay was ok.

Wonderful Hotel near The National Mall
We really enjoyed our suite at The Holiday Inn Washington Capitol. We liked the spacious rooms, The hotel was convenient for meals, it was in a convenient location, and ithe hotel was spacious inside, outside and clean. The taxi stand was located outside the hotel. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay at The Holiday Inn Washington Capitol on a future vacation to Washington.

I traveled with my children, and was so glad for the pool! In addition, the location was GREAT! We walked to visit the memorials, monuments, and museums. We did have to catch an Uber to get to our Nationals game, but otherwise, the location was fantastic! And the staff were very friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay here again when visiting!
