I had to change rooms 2 times because the locks weren't working.. i didnt even get compensated with a free dinner at least and the the staff was rude.... i booked this hotel because it was convenient for me since it's located in the heart of veracruz .. but i will not go back ever again.. so disappointed

After 15 or so years since they did the latest big renovation to the hotel, it's starting to need another round of maintenance. For example, some of the rooms are looking a bit worn down, including balcony and shower doors in mine, that didn't close properly. The service has never been great, but now it's downright disappointing. The fact that they continue to have only two check-in counters makes the check-in process quite lengthy on holiday periods, and in 4 nights in my room, they didn't leave fresh hand towels once. I always had to call and ask for new towels to be brought up, because they'd take the used ones and leave no fresh ones. The hotel's location and inexpensive parking (which used to be free) is probably its best feature, but with so many hotels in downtown Veracruz, I think we'll start looking to other options for our next trip.

Nice hotel, some room for improvement
The hotel is on a prime spot by the pier. Nice and clean overall. The windows are not fully noise insulated so a ship being loaded with large metal pipes overnight kept making clanking noises during the process. The parking is across the property and not clearly marked so we had to drive in the messy traffic around that block twice until we went into the hotel to find exactly where the parking was. Should have a sign. The room reservation said parking included but they still charged 20 pesos a night which I just paid not worth arguing a dollar. The room did not have a safe in the closet, and the soap bars were missing so had to ask for some. The whole place bans smoking everywhere on the premises including the balconies if that's important to you.

Excelente servicio de recepción, mantenimiento, restaurant, y los muchachos de la entrada. Especial agradecimiento al joven que nos acompañó a tomar el taxi de madrugada debido al cierre de la calle. Nos iso sentir más seguras, porque tuvimos que caminar un poco. Muy conveniente servicio de transporte, aunque es por medio de un taxi nos iso sentir seguras. Gracias al joven también que nos ayudó a programarlo.También a las dos personas de mantenimiento que nos trataron de resolver inmediatamente la falta del mini refri y del ventilador que no funcionaba. Gracias por su pronta atención. Y la muchacha de recepción excelente servicio y muy amable. En general todos son muy amables. Se siente seguro tener la Marina ahí afuera cercas. Muchas gracias .

Mi estancia fue del 5 al 8 de Octubre 2024. En primer lugar el hotel está ofrecido en una categoría de 4 estrellas, y las fotos que se muestran en los sitios para venta aparentan que es así, pero la realidad es que este hotel está en pésimas condiciones, le falta mucho mantenimiento y limpieza, el baño huele a caño, las toallas están muy prelavadas, nosotros nos hospedamos en el piso 7 con vistas a la ciudad, pero en el cuarto se oía mucho ruido todo el día y toda la noche, definitivamente es uno de los más decepcionantes hoteles en el cual nos hemos hospedado. Basada en mi experiencia, no podría recomendarlo a nadie.
