I have nothing but GOOD to say at all about our stay here while we were vacationing in Italy. I’ll point out what I’d say are obvious to most stays in Italy, just because I think it’s good information for Americans like us. A lot of people on these apps leave negative feedback for these reasons, but just know that we’re in Italy and these factors are just about everywhere here.
1) there are steps to get to your room, sometimes a lot of them.
2) a lot of places don’t have elevators (this one does NOT).
3) the showers are small! I’m 6’4” and 240lbs… I fit, but it’s not like home, lol.
Okay now that that’s over with, here’s the positive aspects of this place.
1. Location, location, location!!! Venice is confusing! This stay is just off the square so it is very easy to find. Take the 5.1 Traghetto from the train station and get off at St. Marks square. Walk to the west and then north at the end of the square. Maximum of 5-6 minutes walk. It’s also close to where a lot of the gondolas are. Lots of food and drink around every corner.
2. Super nice and helpful staff. Prepare to spend 15 minutes with the person checking you in. They’ll tell you how to use the Traghettos, where to eat, what sites to see and how to get there, etc etc. All with a map of the city. Then, they will walk you to your room (showing you where the roof top terrace is) and help you with your luggage.
3. AC worked great!
Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!!
