The location cannot be beat but why did you guys put us in the tiniest room you could possibly give us? It was definitely a room for one person not even two people can stay comfortably in there.

I liked the historical charm and the fact that the front desk staff dressed somewhat formally. The cleaning staff were just as friendly and helpful as the breakfast staff and the front desk staff. I liked that it was located so close to San Marco piazza. I also really like the key fob.

Stayed in a much nicer property in October, that was cheaper. We got this one for location. Very close to Doge Palace and gondolas were at station. Also, for 30€! More, we were water taxied to the door of the hotel.

The hotel is in a very good location just off St Marco Square. The hotel itself has old and new parts. We were given 2 rooms in the old part which really needs doing up. One of our rooms had no air conditioning, and on the second day there was a water leak from the ceiling. Also one night the emergency lights started flashing and the handy person came and looked at it and said it is now okay. Not sure what he did. Sadly. it was flashing all night. 2nd room was above the entrance of the hotel and we were on the 1st floor so every time someone came in or went out the door was banding as there was no soft touch or closure. so lot of banging early morning as people were leaving and in the night as people were returning. The breakfast was awful, and the staff were not pleasant in any way. Very limited food choice and scrambled eggs were mostly clod and very grease. Bacon uncooked most of the time. Not cheap but the location was good.

Cute hotel in perfect location
This hotel is in the best location in Venice! It’s tucked away only steps away from San Marco square. Only recommendation I have would be to update the name to reflect ‘Albergo Cavalletto’ because we weren’t looking for that as we walked past. Otherwise, great stay and the breakfast is a huge plus!

Very well located, friendly and efficient staff, they went over and above their duty to accommodate me but they were clearly having serious problems with the air conditioning during the hottest summer days in Venice. Make sure to get a room assigned in the renovated section. The old sections looks tires, the carpet smelly.
