Not what I expected from this well known resort
We just had an overnight stay in this all inclusive hotel due to the President closing most hotels the following day due to coronavirus. We had a ‘bungalow’ room on the ground floor, facing the sea with a lovely view. The location was great – right on a narrow strip of golden sand with a beautiful turquoise sea. The pool area was attractive. The bars served cocktails made from pre-mixed ‘syrups’ dispensed from slushpuppy-type machines & were not good. Maybe this is normal (I’ve never stayed at an all inclusive before). As with many hotels in Cuba, this one is tired. Breakfast eggs & lunch/dinner meats were cooked in front of you. Please note that my review is for a hotel about to close.

It was so dated and literally not one bit of maintenance had been done on the property. We tried to use the tennis courts and the rackets had bandages as grips. The towels were soiled. The whole place was covered in mould. It was grotty and disgusting.

Toxic Black Mold everywhere, one beach towel per day no exceptions, requested a crib it was moldy and delivered without a mattress (they didnt have any) Could not eat pizza through out outside areas only at the pizza restaurant, Lobby a/c broken and in 2 of 4 rooms we rented the a/c was not cooling, lamp in our bedroom was falling out of ceiling, rooms in disrepair. I saw same trash on common areas for 3 days straight not picked up. Stray dogs crossing by pool area. This was the worst hotel experience we have ever had. We do not recommend Iberostar Bella Costa.

Iberostar Bella Costa - Horrible Stay
The place smelled like mold. The food was below average. There are ZERO activities to do on the hotel site. The pool did not work and the jacuzzi water line was below the jets. The room was filthy; the comforter smelled like a wet rag and the toilet had dirty water. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! The worst stay we have ever had.

Do not stay at this hotel. This property needs a major renovation. The Lobby was full of mosquitoes. We were shown three different rooms all Dirty and antiquated with dust and mold coming out the A/C Vent. Dirty comforters with white and brown stains. Dirty Pool with pealing paint at the bottom of it. We Arrived before noon and our room was not ready till 5pm. Needless to say we ended up booing another hotel that same day.
