It was nice, clean, affordable. Very thin walls between the rooms. Need a permit for overnight parking which wasn't made clear to me either on the website, through the email correspondence or at check-in. I might have got a ticket but I didn't .... had I known, I could have bought an overnight permit from the City.....this is important because Toronto just increased parking fines by a lot!

This place is a gem! I stay here often. It’s an older building, so don’t expect flashy and new, but it’s very well maintained. There is no elevator, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage. Building is safe and secure, solo female travellers will feel comfortable with the building and the neighbourhood. Two blocks from the subway in both north/south line and east/west line.

I have mixed feelings. The rooms are dated, understandably, but they're also not very clean. Mold in my bath, the floor rug needed to be vacuumed. There is very little at that price point in that area, so people are somewhat stuck. Note that there is no staff on site from 6 pm to 10 am, but they do answer the phone.

Beautiful old Victorian brick house 6-7 min walk from TTC Clean, felt secure and much safer than two subway stops south! Will def stay again if I end up in downtown Toronto

Set in a lovely part of Toronto, on a quiet street. The rooms are small and include only the essentials. I believe the guest house only has double beds, but each room comes with its own bathroom, mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker, hairdryer. While we were there the place was very quiet. The loudest thing was the air conditioner which was a little annoying. I would definitely stay there again

The post says there’s someone at the front desk, BUT the clerk was not at the desk and had to be called. Also, you have to get through a locked door to use the phone! Thank goodness there was an occupant outside to let me in to get to the phone!

It’s a nice guest house near the village, it’s pretty quiet and thing are walking distance. The soap bar here is like a piece of chocolate …so I would recommend to bring your shower gel.

Couldn't connect my laptop to the internet. Air conditioner ran constantly. Coffee maker had to be placed on floor in order to access an outlet (elctrical system is antiquated). No employees on property for most of the day.
