Disappointing family stay
Very musty smell, oddly outfitted kitchen. Random assortment of crappy towels. Beautiful parcel, kitchen needs updating from the 80’s. Only 2 per minimum which is very hard to find in the fine print. Took days for the management Vacasa to return messages, very disappointing in the AI generated messages and speaking to someone in a foreign country for questions. The tv situation was pretty horrible, only one Roku had to move it every night from one room to the living room. Crumbs found in the kitchen upon arrival and hair in the bathroom. The showers seem to be original from the 70’s. Overall disappointing not worth the money 😞 hot tub left quite a bit to be desired, so old couldn’t turn on jets or lights.

A Little Disappointing
We stayed at this property before our recent visit and found it to be getting a bit shabby, but fine enough. This time the bed was beyond uncomfortable. We are not large people, but we rolled into the sagging middle and could barely pull ourselves out of the hole. My husband gave up and slept on the couch. When we were there in August, the bed was fine. So this means a lot of people slept in it in the last 6 months, or they swapped it out with a more worn mattress. Either way, paying a lot for 4 horrid nights of sleep, was maddening. On a good note, the kitchen has all you need to make a full meal and the hot tub is wonderful. It is clean, works well and is very convenient.

Beautiful Hime in a Peaceful Setting
The Sea Wonder has everything you could possibly need to cook, play, relax, soak and watch the stars. It’s a very short walk to the beach, ample parking and lots of room inside. There’s a huge yard, beach toys (including dump trucks!) and enough kitchenware to cook for a crowd.

Beautiful spot, cleanliness issues including bed bugs
We stayed here for 1.5 weeks and loved tour stay itself. This house is located right beside the beach, it’s very spacious and great for families. The hot tub was wonderful and the fire pit was a blast too. Some aspects of the property are a little outdated but for the price point, it can’t be beat. Cons: Cleanliness was pretty questionable. There was used underwear from a previous guest in one of the drawers, dirty q-tips under furniture and several sticky surfaces. We brought this up with Vacasa the day we checked in and never heard anything back. We also noticed the bunk bed room smelled pretty musty and needed to aired out. Reading previous reviews, it appears this has been an issue for a while, and not addressed. Finally, after several days (we had returned back home by this point) my husband noticed a bed bug bites all over his body. He had slept in one of the bunkbeds in that musty room for several naps. I believe Vacasa really needs to address the issues with this room in particular considering it’s set up for kids. Overall, we had a wonderful stay despite this. The house itself is equipped with a lot of board games, kitchen, utensils, etc. it feels like a rental that was once well kept up and loved but in recent years is not used much by the actual owners and is poorly maintained. Such a shame, considering it’s such a cool house with such a beautiful location.

Out of the way in Cape Mears
The property was clean but outdated. The beach is beautiful and a short walk from the house. Cape Mears is a very small, older community and the closest stores and restaurants are in Tillamook. There’s plenty of room for a family and pets. However, it is in need of remodeling.

Nice View, but some safety concerns
There were some safety concerns in this house. First, the bedroom with a queen bed downstairs, smelled of mold. There was only one ladder for 3 bunk beds in the bedroom next door, and there was a hole in the stairs that leads to the two bedrooms. There was a general stale aroma to the house, and granted from the pics, it does not look updated. Please repair the safety hazards and add a new fresh coat of paint to the house, and replace the carpets. The pros: the view was nice, and the deck and hot tub were a perk though, and the kitchen was fully stocked, expect for to go containers, bring those.

Great location but rundown property
Very pricey for the quality of the property. The location somewhat makes up for that. Very old toaster oven with no wire rack, tea kettle missing the whistle part. Shower on main floor is extremely old, low ceiling and poor sliding door. Day bed mattress is extremely soft and uncomfortable. Good amount of tables & chairs. Lovely deck with ocean view. Plenty of good towels & linens. Would not stay there again.

Excellent find, poorly managed
The house itself is perfect in all ways, and Is perfectly located near a remote beach. I would stay there again happily. Communication from Vacasa is not good. There is very little instruction on, for example, how and when the garbage gets picked up. The glass shower door was off it’s track when we arrived — a very dangerous situation. I reported it on the app as soon as we got there, my message was ignored until the day before we left. The shower was unsafe to operate but we did anyway, just being careful not to touch the door.

Stay at beach
The house is in a great location, short walk to get to the beach and more private part of the beach. The house is tired, old, needs updating. The air in the house was not great, we aired it out couple days along with the humidifiers running 24/7. It’s a great cozy house but difficult for older folks or people with allergies due to the dust and air quality. The kitchen was well stocked, made cooking dinners easy. The house does allow pets, our dog is not allowed on any furniture but there was animal hair on all the couch which we covered using our own sheets and blanket. The beds were a bit uncomfortable, but manageable for a couple nights. When we arrived the hot tub temp was at 93 and it took the entire night and most of the next day to reach 102, the water was low and the jets would spit water in your face if they weren’t covered. We did enjoy our stay, but for the future we will be looking into more updated and newer homes. Thank you for hosting us.
