Sidney’s Retreat has two large queen size bedrooms and is perfect for two couples or a family and with extra bedding can comfortably sleep 6. It is conveniently located within 2 min walk to Katoomba cafes and restaurants and 10 min to the 3 sisters at Echo point.
The Space:
Sidney’s Retreat has two large queen size bedrooms and is perfect for two couples or a family. We can also supply a single roll away, double futon style lounge bed and can comfortably sleep 6.
To make your stay more enjoyable we provide electric blankets and 100% cotton quality bed linen, comfortable mattresses and coffee and tea making facilities. There is a deep claw foot bath in the bathroom for total relaxation. A slow combustion stove in the lounge for toasty winters evening. Additional electric and gas heating is provided in the bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.
Relax in a well equipped country kitchen with all you need to completely self cater and a balcony with stunning views to enjoy the gas bbq and outdoor setting.
Free Wi-fi, games, books, digital radio and music player, Bluray player and selection of dvds are all supplied.
Guest Access:
24 hour access via a keypad on the front door that will be emailed to you a few days prior to your arrival.
The Neighborhood:
Sidney’s Retreat is located in historic Lurline Street, Katoomba in the centre of the World Heritage region of the Blue mountains , a scenic 1 1/2 hours drive from Sydney.
This beautiful self-catering cottage is a convenient 2 minute walk into Katoomba’s interesting Art Deco main street for shopping and restaurants and a 5 minute stroll to the rail station.
A leisurely stroll down Lurline Street takes you past cafes, galleries and craft centres to the amazing sight of the Three Sisters on the edge of the Katoomba Escarpment.
Getting Around:
There is a train station at Katoomba only a 5 min walk from the house down lurline st. There are buses in Katoomba st, Lurline st and surrounding suburbs in easy walking distance from the cottage.
There is parking on Lurline and Leichhart Streets, though not directly outside the house.
Sydney is a 1 1/2 hour drive.
Other Things to Note:
We do not have onsite parking, the best place to park is at the corner of Leichhardt and Lurline st at the top of Leichhardt St facing down the hill.
We strongly recommend anyone with mobility issues does not stay with us as we have a set of stairs down from the road to the front door.
Interaction with Guests:
This is non hosted accommodation, so you will not see anyone during your stay. However, if you do need help we are only a phone call away.
