Taxi dropped me off in main street then had to walk up two lots of stairs to get to front entrance to find out there is a lane that can get you to front entrance. Staff on check in very good and helpful, said they can book taxi in morning for me. Room comfortable as was bed. Aircon noisy and shower causes water to go all through that area as no screen, making you have to get wet feet each time you use toilet or basin. Shower gel just did 2 showers. Staff should check each time they clean room. Taxi booked in morning as they said and arrived in 5 minutes. The rooms in this motel are just like a large box like set up and nothing fancy, far from it but all I need. I only say that incase others expect more. Overall I was happy with stay.

Initially was impressed with the property but it all unravelled after asking housekeeping to clean the room. The shower flooded the bathroom and the towels had to be used after showering to dry up the floor as it was a safety hazard ( fault was with size of shower head compared to showering area). The bin was full and needed emptying so a service on the room was requested. Towels were replaced but not until later in the day. Face towels were NOT replaced leaving just the body towels and mat. Bin was emptied but cups were not cleaned. When lying on the bed the cover became covered in black spots and later into the evening, spiders and beetles. Cause was the air-conditioning unit as filters had never been cleaned. The unit was hidden behind a panel and didn't have free flow to the room. moved across the bed to get away from dropping bugs only to be woken by cockroaches on the table next to the bed running between the tea, coffee and sugar packs as well as over the dirty cups and spoon. I got up and packed at that point. Was disappointed and couldn't wait to get to a proper shower. I know roaches are a nuisance and difficult to control but cleanliness goes a long way to prevent them from taking over. Felt sorry for the foreign visitors and couples staying there. Left two hours earlier than intended and not a good night sleep.

Very popular with students, i.e. noisy at times. Situated within the King Cross area and very walkable into the city centre. As goes with the title of the Ibis it is a budget hotel.

It’s a budget hotel, so expect budget experiences. Really close to kings cross train station which made it easy to get to anywhere local and far. Lots of great dinning options.

Happy with what I paid for
The taxi driver had difficulty in finding the hotel, the location differed from the vehicle GPS. I walked back and eventuality found it via the main entrance The staff member was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean for my liking, however some might say the walls could do with a wash down in parts. The bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The $12.00 breakfast was value for money. It was far better than many other budget type accommodation.
