Older property but the rooms have all been redone and they are clean and super cute. The manager Jackie was great! I would definitely recommend

The Sussex Motel is a hidden gem! The main sign you see from the road is unassuming- but once inside- you can tell a lot of care went into updating and maintaining this motel. Jackie was an absolute delight, and made our stay that much more enjoyable with her friendly demeanor and kindness. We had room 17 which was beautifully decorated, super clean, and very homey. We had plans to go out to dinner, but I actually preferred to stay in because the room was so comfy! We give the Sussex Motel two thumbs way up!

We were in the area for a wedding and booked Sussex Motel for the night. Right away, I was impressed by Jackie's friendly and helpful welcoming. She was so kind and told me to call her anytime if we needed anything at all. The rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. When we checked out the next day, Jackie bid us farewell and encouraged us to reach out to her directly next time we're in the area and need a nice place to stay. We will definitely do so!

Enjoyed my stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the Sussex Motel. It was perfectly located near High Point State Park, Port Jervis, and Matamoras. I was able to have a nice vacation in a place that I have not had the chance to stay at for a long period of time.

The motel itself was somewhat dated. The hall carpet needed to be vacuumed. But the room was clean and comfortable. The manager was very helpful.

Had a good time
This is an old school motel, through and through. They don't make them like this anymore. I brought my family this last week to visit Legoland and Sussex was a nice spot nearby. I wasn't completely happy with the cleanliness of the room coming in, but I do feel management did their best to take appropriate action around it. Other than that problem, it was a nice environment for us and the family we were traveling with. We walked to the pizza and bagel shops nearby to get our meals, which was quite good and we had space in the rooms to serve family style. Fridges and microwaves added to the comfort there. All in all I do recommend this place and thank them for a nice memory.

Most importantly, Jackie was fantastic. She was so accommodating and helpful she made our stay comfortable. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. We saw 2 different rooms and they were adorable, more like little apartments. I recommend this motel.
