Beautiful ornate bar, apparently made from wood from a Spanish Armada ship which sank of Jersey.
Downstair bar and other areas nice, antique boutique style. Staff very friendly and attentive.
Bedrooms, tired and old fashioned, Beds old, towels old and frayed, decor old and worn but otherwise clean and tidy.
Perfect location for all major sites of St Helier. Excellent choice of restaurants nearby in same road as the hotel.

Easy reach of centre of town
Pros:Pleasant and friendly staff. Good quality meals.
Cons:Some of the decor and fittings need attention.
Initial room was small and the decor was tired. Had a couple of issues with the room, which the staff overcame by providing an alternative room. This room was much larger and not claustrophobic like the first. On the whole much better, the staff throughout were polite and very helpful. After the bad start, the stay was much more enjoyable . Breakfast was good and service quick, evening meal was also very good.

This is the place to stay in Jersey
Excellent hotel... very friendly service! The ancient building is a bit of a maze but very homely and comfortable with open fireplaces and antique furniture and fitting mostly original. Rooms are tidy and comfortable. Thoroughly recommend.
