Overall we were somewhat disappointed and, sad to say, probably won’t revisit but here are some pros & cons Pros - Location - fabulous Jo Chiat St - lots of places to eat - Building - outside stylish conversion of old shop houses & stylish lobby - Staff - lobby staff v friendly - Wi-Fi - good - Amenities - safe, tea & coffee, kettle, etc - Aircon - works Cons - Bathroom - tiny + shower floods bathroom floor into room - No windows or natural light - Thin Sound insulation - easy to hear neighbours at 3am or partygoers loud in corridor - Hairdryer in room - didn’t work - Aircon - has a mind of its own Unfortunately unable to get much sleep so our experience wasn’t good - suggest the hotel look at a solution for the shower cubicle & hope future guests have quiet fellow travellers

Unique wall and ceiling design. Standard room is good for people travelling light coz floor space is limited to just a few luggage. Staff were friendly & approachable.The frontdesk lady, Putri, even helped us book a taxi when she found out we were having trouble with transportation.

Hard to give it a good rating
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times before, however it has been a couple of years since my last stay. I feel it’s certainly just running on bare bones so to speak… I understand it’s cheap (for Singapore) and a good option near the airport… however, I still don’t expect to have ants running around here and there… main room and bathroom.. also moths and flying insects. The walls are paper thin and you can just hear word for word the neighbours next door. The staff at the front are somewhat awkward as well… as they don’t greet or say hello to guests when coming and going like I get at other hotels… even a smile would be nice. Usually when I went past they were chatting and laughing with each other. Overall if you don’t want to spend much… just over night or 2 nights max.. it’s bearable… unfortunately I don’t think I’ll return though as I feel even at that price points it’s difficult to justify.

The AIRCON was so cold I froze to death and no way to change temperature. The pillows are terrible, need major upgrade

Not what I expected
Singapore is quite expensive so I chose this hotel because the photos of the outside and lobby looked quite nice but the rooms were no good. The service was good, I didn’t like my first room so the quickly arranged a second one for me. However even that room wasn’t much better. The shower leaked into the bathroom area, walls are thin, and there aren’t windows for the rooms. The way the rooms are setup and decorated makes this place feel more like a “love hotel” if you know what I mean. Although I didn’t suspect any of that happening really. So unless you’re on a tight budget, I wouldn’t stay here. Location is good though, lots of restaurants super close by, not far from the airport, and has a bus stop close by.
