We had a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent. However, to put it diplomatically the room we were in was in desperate need of a refresh. The carpet was quite dirty as well as the bathroom door that had peeling paint. There had been a snow storm before we arrived but I was surprised that the tree debris which included a fairly large tree limb, was not removed from the sidewalks and there was also ice - it remained the entire time we were there. As an historic property we do recognize that modernizing is quite a challenge and of course too much would destroy the character but clean carpets and unobstructed walkways really should not be left unattended.

Property grounds were very nice. Good location. Rooms (casita) was very rustic. Could see daylight around all sides of door. No hot water for shower even early morning or night. Low water pressure for shower. Room itself was not what I would expect for Marriott.

We have stayed at La Posada several times it’s always nice. It makes you feel like you’re in a compound of peace and beauty. Rooms and suites are very warm and cozy clean and neat.

The entire staff, from dront desk staff, maids & valet, were awesome. Amber the bartender was one of our favorites. She paid attention to detail. Moe in Valet was another staff member who was super personable.
