Gorgeous old building, very easygoing, helpful and friendly staff, close to train station for 15 min journey into San Sebastian. Comfortable and clean. Nice large rooms. Relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend

The staff! Absolutely lovely and kind. The cleaners were so helpful, the staff at desk great! Had a beautiful view from our room. Not far from San Sebastián , train station up the road , a few places to eat locally. Usurbil is a lovely small town full of kind people, very Basque, very beautiful. Would stay again. :)

Perfect for our one night stay

We stayed here whilst on a road trip down to the Costa del Sol. The staff were polite and informative. There did not appear to be any atmosphere to the hotel, we presume because it is predominantly a business hotel with transient clients. Overall, though,very comfortable and a good nights sleep before the next leg of our journey.

Did the job.

It was a perfect spot having spent the day in the heart I'd San Sebastian. There is a nearby town with food options. The hotel was quiet and perfect for a good nights rest.

A good stopover

We had a bit of trouble finding it ,even with the sat nav . So busy when we got there with private functions but there was still a nice welcome for us

Hotel with character

Nice clean facilities with good wifi connection. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Good basic self service breakfast provided for €5. Only thing is that the hotel a little out of the way if you want to stay out after 10pm in San Sebastián and don't want to drive. If you are ok with the €22 approx trip back to the hotel then this is an ideal hotel.

Beautiful building. Well fitted out

What a lovely place. So we'll refurbished and comfortable. Friendly relaxed staff. I only wish the setting was nicer as a bit noisy from traffic

Very disappointed

felt like a mushroom whilst having breakfast , sitting on a stool in the semi - darkness. was very tired by the time restaurant opened for dinner. was disturbed most of the night by traffic, people walking past our room and the sound of water running, where other people had flushed the loo. if I had somewhere else to, I wouldn't have stayed.

Good transport links to San Sebastián

The hotel was easy to find. It was easy to park and only a couple of minutes walk to Ursibil railway station, where you could get trains to San Sebastián or Bilbao. The building was a renovated Basque palace over 300 years old and it was near a small industrial area on the river. The mountainous scenery was beautiful with lots if walkers and cyclists. we were able to egg a good meal for the night in the restaurant next door and drinks in the cafe. The breakfast was excellent for 5 Euros. We would stay here again. Excellent value overall.

San Sebastian Hotel

Hotel is a bit out of town but very close to a regular cheap rail service, 10 mins ride. Evening meal possible in hotel but after 8.30pm so be prepared.! I think there are a few restaurants about 5 minutes away but again the locals seem to eat later than in Britain. Free parking outside hotel. Basic continental breakfast.

Little gem .... Close to San Sebastián

Nice place nice staff great bed and bedding, small village over the road lots of bars but a shortage of places to find food in the evenings. Still I would use this hotel again in the future fore sure.

Cheap but Good Quality Accommodation.

Good Connections by Train to San Sebastian which was not a chore or inconvenience --15 minute journey time to San Sebastian which is acceptable.

Lovely hotel

Only stayed 1 night whilst travelling through Spain,location was excellent for this,not far from motorway.the staff were excellent!! Also the lady at reception spoke English. The building is lovely,the photo does not do it any justice. Although there is an industrial estate behind the hotel you would never know. We took a walk up to the centre,what a lovely place. Would definitely stay here again
