This hotel has a huge problem with mold. We checked in and had a fantastic experience but when we got to our room, I noticed a large amount of mold covering all of the bathroom walls. I went to the front desk with my photos and explained that my son has bad asthma and cannot be in that room. I was told that they could fix the problem but not until the following day so they offered us an upgraded room for the night. We were nicely surprised by this so we had an okay first night.. the following day we were gone the entire day so we returned at 10 PM at night. We went to our room was found that they simply covered up the mold spots with new wallpaper and scrubbed one corner. I again told the staff and they came and inspected and agreed that there was still mold in the room and it had not been cleaned correctly. What perplexed me was that they came to verify the mold and said they could see that I wasn’t just trying to be a problem. They said no rooms were available except the one we stayed in the night before so we packed up everything again and went back to the other room. We had a trip to the Vatican the next morning at 7:30 so we left very early. I received a call from the front desk at 11 AM and was told that I needed to come clear the room we were in because it was now booked and if I was not out by 12 PM that we would be charged for the upgraded room. We then did not have a room for awhile. We checked out early and did not have a good experience.
