So so hotel
Great location for walking to many tourist sites. Clean. Rooms small and even deluxe room was poorly laid out so that it seemed cramped. Big problem for us was that the rooms were always too warm even with radiators off. Had to leave window open to cool off but that made it noisy. Breakfast reasonable but not wonderful.

Location is very touristy which makes the room cramped. At the same time the bones of the hotel are old so heating/cooling is poor. Staffs response to how do I turn down the heat is “open a window”. Much better options available if you are not looking for properties near the waterfront

Super friendly and helpful staff! Great location to everything we want to do. Room is quiet with small balcony. Only downside is the room seems not having ventilation system, we need to open the French door to the balcony to have some airflow- otherwise everything is perfect!

Wonderful hotel that exceeded our expectations. For starters, all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. We also love how close it is to the bus stop 4 which was very convenient for our pickups and drop offs. We really enjoyed the restaurant inside called Le Kock which has amazing burgers and potatoes. The room was a little small but that didn’t bother us as we didn’t spend much time there. It gets really warm and they don’t have air conditioning so we did ask for a fan. The sauna is so nice and relaxing. The area nearby has so many great cafes and restaurants you can walk to within 5 minutes. I’m really happy we chose to stay here and I would definitely recommend it!

We stayed in Exeter for 2 separate periods, 4 nights before a cruise in Iceland and half day after the cruise. On Aug 9 we have an early disembarkation from the ship, but we had a late night flight on the same day. Having no othet choice we booked the exeter which is just oppo the pier. We arrived before 9am and our room was not ready as it was full house the night before. So we have to wait in the lobby. We were informed officially that the checkin time was 2pm. It is totally meaningless to book the room as we need to depart to airport before 5pm. I told our situation to the front desk staff and they acknowledge our urgency for a room to rest. While we were lying on the lobby hopelessly, suddenly I heard a gentle voice calling my name. Then I see the front desk staff Mr. Cesar standing next to me. Surprisingly he specially help to arrange a room from those early checked outs and let us have a good rest. Then we check-out at around 4:30pm and Mr. Cedar helps to get a taxi for us to airport. While we were waiting outside for the taxi, the colleague of Cesar (I don't know his name) came out to check if we got on the taxi smoothly. We were so impressive by the warm assistance from the front desk staff and we surely will come back next time and recommend to any tourist without hesitation.

Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel was a great choice and we'd gladly stay with them again. Loved the bakery and attached restaurant. We took advantage of the breakfast buffet on our two day stay which had wonderful offerings. A must do is the Lava show which is in close proximity (17 minutes walk away) to the hotel.
