I had a nice time staying at the Gold Bank Hotel. Staffs were welcoming and helpful, room was clean, modern and reasonably equipped. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. 5 mins walk from Prague central station which can be used to access to the airport or neighbouring capital cities by bus or train respectively. Also within a walkable distance to Prague major tourist attractions.

Terrible Hotel
The service was really bad and nothing like they say. You only can choose one day for a free room service, the mattress was very uncomfortable (made my back hurt) and when we asked them to change it/the room they couldn’t do anything. We asked for an extra pillow and that took them 2 days to give one to us. Not even mentioning there was a false fire alarm and no electricity for half a day during our stat. Generally, very disappointed in the service and the hotel. The staff was really good at apologizing for the inconveniences but clearly had no intention of helping/fixing stuff for you.

The location of the hotel is amazing. The staff was very helpful and kind. Unfortunately the mini-bar in my room was empty. And the bathroom lacked basic toiletries. 9/10.

Hotel very smart, clean and tidy. Good location, easy walking distance from the train station and into the central tourist areas. Rooms not ready when we went to check in even though after 3pm. Only took around 10 mins though. The “bar” is a real let down. Went with a friend and we didn’t want late nights out but quite like a glass of wine or something after we get in. One day they didn’t have cold white wine, later no white wine left so we had red wine (one was in the fridge), second night no wine at all. Staff had to hand wash the glasses behind the bar before pouring us a drink. Staff also seemed quite unsure about drinks - what was available, whether wine should be chilled or not. Only seats are in the big reception area - no music, no atmosphere.

The Gold Bank is an easy walk through the park from the main station - 5-7 minutes. The neighbourhood seemed safe and quiet and the transit system was always close at hand. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the service was excellent

The hotel property itself is clean and nice. Sadly, the staff are among the most cold and unfriendly I have ever encountered in my life. On top of that, after a night out in the city we returned around midnight and our hotel room wouldn’t open. We waited in the lobby for 90 minutes until 130am and when they finally opened it they said it was our fault for leaving a towel on the door, which there is NO WAY we did. It’s a very bizarre vibe with a scary staff and we recommend elsewhere.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While the rooms are small, they are generally good for a short stay. The breakfast offered is decent and the location is undeniably great, with easy access to local attractions. The staff at the front desk were very polite, which we appreciated. However, we encountered a troubling incident that overshadowed our stay. After our first night, we were closing the curtains and a bottle of lubricant fell out from behind them. This was not only unexpected but also very concerning, as it suggests the rooms are not being thoroughly cleaned. We reported this to the front desk, and they assured us that the manager would be notified the next morning. Unfortunately, we never heard back from anyone, which left us feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. Given this experience, we would not choose to stay here again. There are plenty of other hotels in the area that likely offer a cleaner and more responsive environment.
