The property is right next to the highway so it’s noisy. We had a room at the back of the hotel and the highway was right outside our window. Perfect location to the ballpark and football stadium.

Room was filthy
The employees are very friendly and willing to help. The issue is the cleanliness. Bed was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was decent. The couch, desks, tables and window sills were filthy. I didn’t want to touch anything. So beneath the standards of a Hyatt.

So close to the Steelers and pirates ball parks. Lots of bars, restaurants are close. Great breakfast! Recommend if you want to be close to events but need to reserve early due to those events.

In the middle of it all
Location was a plus and minus. Right between the baseball stadium, AE Stage and the football stadium it was easy to walk to restaurants and the Caregie Science museum. The downside to that was all the double-decker freeway passing outside our window and the loud traffic noises from that. Not a deal breaker, just more noise than I’m used to and no view to speak of. Checking was FAST. Room was nice, just a little damp feeling smelling. Breakfast was great- lots of options and the hot cooked items changed the two days we were there. Bed was comfy with lots of pillows. AC was good. I would stay here again.

Somewhat strangely, my wife and I both had some sort of allergic reaction to room 609. We both woke up with sinus congestion and sneezing. We affected until we excited the property. Not sure if it was mold or something in the air conditioning. We would like some kind of compensation for this discomfort.

Coffee is REALLY important to travellers.
The room and staff were good, but not outstanding, there was nothing wrong with them, but nothing stood out as being great. The breakfast was not good. I have come to expect better from lesser hotels. The coffee was bad, if there is anyway they could ditch the Seattle's Best and get something that isn't low-shelf grocery store quality, and not water it down, it would improve the average rating by a star.
