We liked the convenience of being close to the train station, and is walkable to most tourist attractions. We like the option of breakfast included. The rooms were a little smaller than we liked but it offered bath and shower. Too bad however that our room’s tub had an issue with the plug and we couldn’t take a bath and also the night light under the bed was a bit annoying. We couldn’t turn it off and its motion sensor.

We absolutely loved our stay INSIDE the hotel. Room, HOTEL staff, bar/restaurant were excellent and very accommodating. Perfect location as well. With that said, our initial check-in experience wasn’t great as we were denied parking by the attached garage…and then denied again by the 2 adjacent garages. We arrived around 4PM and couldn’t have checked in much earlier. Eventually we found parking about 6 blocks away after 45 minutes of fighting more traffic and finding only more full garages. Pretty crummy to spend all that $$$ on a nice hotel (that we SPECIFICALLY picked due to on-site parking) to have to deal with that. It stung after a particularly stressful travel day too. I will say the front desk staff was apologetic up and down for it and let us know they are not affiliated with the attached garage (gave us better parking recs, too). They are rockstars and brought only positive vibes to the situation. Just know when you stay here, pre plan your parking because 16th & 17th streets are a MESS…don’t wing it. Try to reserve something close by in advance, otherwise you’re better off staying somewhere else with dedicated parking/valet for hotel guests.

13hour Disaster trip
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very quaint. We loved the shower in the room it was spacious and so comforting. We ordered room service for breakfast as we had to attend a funeral. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. We drive 23 hours from Florida to attend a funeral for my grandmother, upon arriving we were advised that our vehicle was too large for valet parking. No where on the website does it specify that certain SUVs would not be accepted. We specifically choose this hotel because of the Valet parking. The attendants at the front desk did not provide much guidance on places we could park. Being from Florida and driving 13+ hours and arriving at 9pm at night, you would think more assistance would have been given as we are not from Philly and pretty sure this was not the first time this hotel was met with this issue. Lastly, we were awaken at 2am to evacuate the hotel by the fire alarm. We had to walk down 7 flights of steps and my other party had to go down 13 flights of steps with a toddler in the middle of the night. As all the hotel guests gathered outside there were fire trucks and firemen with axes coming in and out the building. Not one Hyatt personel offered any information or ETA. Once the alarm went off we proceeded back to our rooms again with no guidance from any of the Hyatt management or staff. We later discovered from overhearing a housekeeper speaking that there was a flood on the 4th floor. This was not a reason to evacuate the ENTIRE hotel
