Two Units, Not One. Is That Fraud?
This “entire(single) home” was listed as having 6 bedrooms. It is NOT one home, it is TWO separate units next to each other with 2 addresses and 2 separate door codes. We were not alerted that we had 2 units until we received check in information the day before arrival. Our party of 12 adults was frustrated to learn we would not be staying together as one big group because of the deceitful listing. We would have chosen somewhere else to stay had this listing been truthful. When I expressed my disappointment to the host his response was “were sorry if you expected this to be quite different but yes its a duplex home.” This fact was not disclosed in the listing! After we checked in we were messaged additional house rules. Also, IT IS NOT SKI IN/SKI OUT as advertised. The gondola is a 5 minute walk downhill and a 15 minute walk uphill. Not something one would do wearing ski boots. It has one elevator in one unit, not both. Also, the room with 3 king bunk beds is a ridiculous setup with roughly 12 inches of headroom between beds. A 6 year old could not sit up in bed; an adult has to wiggle out of bed and there is no dresser or light in the room. Also, we were visited by the “owner” of one of the units, UNANNOUNCED, twice, to pick up gear. Some final notes are that in two properties this lovely, one would expect more than one hair dryer for three bedrooms in one of the homes and enough dishes/glassware/utensils for 6 guests in each home.
