I hate to say anything bad about this proper. The location is very convenient and the views and surrounding area was very nice. It’s was also walks away from Osaka castle. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. They really take pride in providing great customer experiences. There was also an airport bus which was a lifesaving if you have lots of luggage. The downside was the dated rooms and musty smell. Overall the property was very clean and well maintained for its age. .

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lobby is magnificent. It's very close to JR station and dining/ cafe places. It's great that it has smart TV with YouTube and Netflix so that people can log in to use them. The hotel in Expedia is 5 star but it's actually an old hotel, especially the room interior: the light switches, sink faucet, and toilet flush handle, they're older styles. They work well but the pictures in Expedia don't actually show them. The bathroom would benefit from a basket to hold /store toiletries so that the towels don't cover them. The mattress is soft for people with back issues.

A well located hotel with staff that are willing to go above and beyond. Some quirks on housekeeping where our beds where not made when the room was cleaned, but this may have been due to us selecting the wrong eco-cleaning option. Somewhat inflexible with late check out which was a shame. The additional fees on the use of gym/pool/tennis court were a surprise and the closure of the outdoor pool for the seasons seemed premature given it was still hot during our visit. However, the overall experience was great and we would book in again.

Nice hotel, good location
We were in Osaka for a 4 day visit. Hotel New Otani is close to two train stations and the Osaka castle, so getting to spots such as Nara and Dotonbori (the popular tourist area) was pretty easy. But because it’s not right in the heart of the city, it was much quieter. The hotel itself has large rooms and a great breakfast. On our last day in Osaka, we walked to the Osaka castle for a tour, which was right out of the TV series Shogun.

Loves this hotel. The size of the room was very large. Staff had excellent customer service. House keeping always put fresh water bottles in the room every morning to have and stocked up anything we used such as soaps, coffee and water. We had a beautiful view of Osaka Castle and the river in front of the hotel. Very beautiful views. My one complaint is the food was super expensive and their was not much food open before 10 am and some of the restaurants would close around 3 pm before dinner service. We had to find food outside of the hotel because of the price of it. Would I recommend this hotel? Absolutely

This is my 3rd time staying here and the junior suite with castle view is excellent! Having a split-room suite of 2-beds each is convenient when traveling with others. The bathroom is also huge tho slightly inconvenient when needing to use it while someone else is bathing/showering. 😅 Castle views at all hours are fantastic! And service is impeccable. Highly recommend it!

I loved the view of Osaka castle from the property as well as the level of care and professionalism of the staff. The room itself was a little dated as far as stylings and amenities but was all to satisfactory levels.

Excellent property in a fantastic location. The view of Osaka Castle from our room was stunning. Highly recommend using this property. From staff, to room, to transportation service, it was all a 5 star experience. We did not dine on the property but the bakery looked divine.
