Perfect location and an amazing hotel!! Room was small but very manageable for two people. Everything was so clean and absolutely loved the area. Just south of the craziness but you could walk there in 5 minutes! So many delicious restaurants close by too. Definitely recommend!

I loved how easy it was to walk to Dontonburi from the hotel and it was convenient to have a Lawsons across the street. Check in was difficult because I made the reservation under my name and pre-paid but it would only appear under my partner’s name. We also got an email saying we needed to provide an estimated time of arrival for check in which none of our other hotels during our stay in Japan required.

Our room had a little bit of a cigarette smoke smell. Still a good location and good hotel, the only negative was the smell. The APA hotel at Shinagawa had no smell though!

What we like about APA hotels is that you can frequently check in hours early for a fee. We showed up at 1pm and were able to get into our room. What we don’t like is that the rooms are tiny, the TV coming on every time you enter your room is seriously annoying, and breakfast is sometimes weird. Breakfast is a buffet which is nice, although grilling your own meat is a bit weird, as is the large amount of sashimi.
