Not absolutely horrible but it’s not a well maintained home.
We booked this house for the cattleman’s congress and it served it purpose…a place to take a shower and sleep.
Towels are the size of bath mats and will leave road rash. Granted there are plenty of them available, they are literally the size of a bath mat.
It was really cold and windy and the bathroom water froze, granted that wasn’t the the owner fault but the bathroom was extremely cold because of a drafty window. Problem resolved by using the ample bath mat sized towels to stop the draft.
Sheets on the beds are see thru thin and you get a bed sheet and a fitted sheet. I’m not expecting 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton linens, but this was almost as bad as bath mats for towels.
The shower has a sliding door that was made for a tub so it literally 4 ft tall so watch out you could close line yourself if you are not careful. It also has a shower curtain hung at normal height.
We didn’t use any of the kitchen utensils so no clue if it had the basics or not.
You need to duck in the bed rooms if the fans are on or you will end up in the ER getting stitches.
The neighbors really know how to party and I mean they are professionals. Granted we were staying over New Years so I get it…people party but this party was still going strong at 6 am when we left to go to the barn. Loud music could be heard so loud that the base was reverberating off the lovely TVs in the bed rooms.
I tried calling the owner and didn’t get a return phone call. He did message me back a day later but I was busy at cattleman’s congress and tired so I just left it alone. I have chalked this up as a lesson learned not to stay hear again.
I’m not one to gripe but this house was thrown together and every corner that could be cut was cut and cut again. It is what it is. It will keep you dry and let you lay down and nap if the neighbors are not going hard in the paint.
The couches are comfortable.
