Whalecome to the Knotty Whale! Whale Up (Upper unit of a duplex) is a four bedroom, two bathroom unit that sleeps 10 comfortably. This is a great option for families who want to be in a great location at an economical price. This home is located a block from Cherry Grove Beach (currently ranked the #20 best beach in the U.S. by Tripadvisor). Here, you'll find the best of what Cherry Grove has to offer. The kitchen has been completely remodeled with new cabinets, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and a large eat in area. The living room has a 50" flat screen, smart tv and a brand new couch. Two bedrooms have 42" smart TVs as well.
New vinyl plank flooring was installed throughout the unit. There's free highspeed WiFi, central air/heat throughout, and a washer and dryer in an exterior closet (shared between this unit and the lower one). There is a large front porch has a small dining area with several seats and it's perfect for enjoying your coffee or playing cards at night.
Nestled in the heart of Cherry Grove, you’re a block to the beach and a short walk to Sea Mountain Highway where you’ll find everything you’ll need while you’re on vacation (Boulineau's, shops, ice cream, pizza, mini-golf, bike/golf cart rentals, beach stores, etc). You’re also a 12 minute walk to the famed Cherry Grove Pier, one of the most famous landmarks around.
Each bedroom has a theme: Aqua la Vista, The Coral Cabana, Seagals and Buoys, and Swim this Way.
Towels and Linens are included in the price. We provide starter pack of toilet paper.
For larger groups - Whale Up can be rented with Whale Down (similar lower unit)-for those looking to travel together but would like separate spaces.

NO PARTIES ALLOWED-Primary guest must be 25 and present during the entire reservation, Quiet hours 10pm-7am, no unregistered or unauthorized guests or visitors allowed on premises without prior approval from host.
Maximum Guests: 10, primary guests must register the final guest headcount with owner prior to arrival, if more than maximum guests inadvertently stay at the property a $50/per person/night fee will be applied

There are charcoal grills available for use outside as a courtesy. Guests are responsible for supplies as well as cleaning the grills. Guests may see landscapers or members of our maintenance team during their stay on the premises.

Great Location but Older Property.

Awesome Getaway

My family and I visit N Myrtle Beach annually. We have always had great experiences and this year was no different. The property owner was great - stayed in touch and there were no issues or surprises at check in. The property itself sits in a great location! As the listing stated the property is "literally" steps from the beach. The property was clean and very comfortable and majority of essentials were provided, such as dishes, hand soap, linens etc. Although we didn't need them, there were even beach toys available for use. My favorite part of the property was the huge screened in porch. We loved hanging out here during tea time and to play a few board games. Our grandchildren loved the yard which reminded them of home. We'd definately book here again. Overall, peaceful and relaxing vacation. Thank you.

Classic Beach House Charm

Excellent value. Clean and comfortable beach house with traditional character. If you want ultra modern then keep looking. If you want cozy, inviting classic beach feel with modern touches, this is it. Spacious for our 8 adults, 1 teen and 2 little ones. Damion, the host, is great…..very helpful and responsive. Great location….convenient to beach and Sea Mountain Hwy. i recommend it if you want a place for a large-ish family that won’t break the bank.

Fun for all

My entire family had space to themselves and were able to have fun and enjoy our stay. We each could retreat to our rooms or come out into the living area to congregate. It was clean and open. We all had fun.

Came down to Cherry Grove for a last minute weekend trip. The house was awesome, great location and neighborhood. Had plenty of towels and cooking utensils which was great. Will definitely stay there again!

Great family getaway (with dogs too)

Excellent location. Historic little house that they’ve done some nice little touches with to give it charm. Damion the host is very easy to work with. Where many owners did not accommodate us with two dogs, he didn’t bat an eye and was very helpful. The check in and out was simple and everything was as described. Very short walk to beach. Easy walk to Boulineau’s store as well. Great little stay for a quick family trip.

Property was just like the pictures and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. We really enjoyed being so close to the beach and it is a short walk. I recommend this rental if you are wanting something close and reasonable

Great place and awesome host! So close to the beach and restaurants and shopping! The house was so cute and fit all of our needs. The host always responded so quickly and was super friendly and helpful. The dogs had a great time here as well; thank you for being pet friendly!
