Peaceful rest. Great sound insulation. Building shape means a long-ish walk for rooms at the far edge, but also quiet halls. Slowest elevators ever, though. Not sure if the loft has windows that open, but the AC was nice enough that we didn’t bother to try or even care. Minutes away by car to good food and some shopping. Had an odd time connecting with scheduled room service, but staff in the halls who happened to be about did well to fill the gaps.

Malfunctioning fire alarm
I called ahead for an early check in and was told our room would be ready at 1:30 pm but it wasn't ready until 3 and we had to sit and wait in lobby. We ultimately got upgraded to a suite which was nice but the fire alarm malfunctioned over our bed and kept strobe flashing at random times waking us up. I went down to complain at front desk around midnight and of course when they went up to look it didn't do it. I don't think they believed me. Worst sleep in a hotel ever. I mentioned it again on check out but I was just given a "sorry to hear that. You're all paid already so have a nice day".

I have stayed at this motel several times, for 1 or 2 weeks at a time. Last time was in May and I was not happy with it then. This time I was very disappointed in the motel. Our room was clean as it use to be. The shower head had very poor pressure, and was lose from the wall. The beds felt like lumpy…maybe time for new ones. When I went down for supplies the drawers were always empty. You might want to think about getting the elevators repaired so they are in better working condition. When someone stays there at 2 a year for week or weeks maybe you be think about offering breakfast like most other motels offer. Very disappointed and will not be coming back

Outstanding St Catharines hospitality
This was our second time here and the service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant staff was particularly welcoming and shared helpful suggestions and warm hospitality. The room and common areas were all immaculately clean and nicely decorated. In the morning the window sills in the room were soaked with water from either a leak or condensation.

Generally a good stay for 2 nights, however garbage was not removed from the room after the first night and for 5 people registered not enough towels were provided. We had to get more off the cleaning cart. Also advertised was a mini fridge in each suite, but it was only a cooler, so did not keep drinks and food cold.

We've been coming here for many years since it first open as Embassy West Suite. The rooms were immaculate and the property well maintained. The hotel also offered free breakfast buffet style and everything fresh. Our bathroom ceiling paint was peeling off and the window sil also needed to have it painted and repair the plaster. The scramble eggs were hard and unappetizing, my wife's bacon and sausages were cold and we were informed that breakfast was $26.00 each plus tax plus tip for a total of $59.98. My wife's pillow smelled men's cologne. We also noticed the outside interlock stone at the entrance were missing a few stones which could lead for someone to trip and injure themselves. We noticed many more deficiencies too many to mention in this review. Needless to say we won't be back.
