Terrible, heartbreaking, and totally stressful experience! I literally got kicked out and was told my reservation was canceled although Expedia still had it as booked and confirmed. The front desk agent told me that they had no more rooms left and my name and reservation were not on the list and my room was canceled due to a rejection of my credit card and that I had to leave. My reservation was “reserve first, pay later” also if there were any rejections then Expedia would have notified me as I had made this reservation months in advance and there was nothing sent to indicate an issue. I was in town for a concert which I had to be at in less than 2 hours and I had no where to go. I was so shocked and traumatized that I had to sit down to collect myself and a girl came up to me and asked if I was going to the same concert as her and I said I was and she offered to share her room with me. I was so thankful and went up her to get ready. On our way down the agent saw me and called me over asking for my name again. When I told him he went to the back for a few minutes and then came back WITH MY RESERVATION AND ROOM KEY! No apologies at all. He just started going on about the hotel policies and wifi code and then told me to go ahead and pay with my card. Imagine if I had just left. I was prepared to go to the train station for the night until my wonderful new friend came to my rescue. Now a fear has been unlocked with hotel reservations and Expedia due to this disaster.
