During my recent trip to New York, I had the opportunity to explore Sonesta’s property, which I was initially drawn to because of its luxury hotel advertising and strong ratings. The location is indeed excellent, making it a great base for exploring the city. However, I found that certain aspects of my experience could be enhanced. While the hotel is clean, I noticed that both the room and the overall property felt a bit dated and could benefit from a modernization effort. Our room was situated on the 9th floor, and unfortunately, it faced an internal courtyard, resulting in limited natural light, which affected the overall ambiance. For the same price you could find a better place to stay

The place is clean, and everything look new and modern. Is near from a lot of place that you can eat, drink and shop. The room is very clean, good quality of water. I would like that you can check in before 3-4 pm. In the room they must placed water or some juice to drink. The personal are the best .

We spent one night at the Shelbourne Sonesta. It's an excellent location - really nice. The staff was very gracious and lovely, the room was very clean. I don't know if it's NYC specific, but the room was 76 degrees and there was nothing that could be done about it. I'm shorting them a star based on heat prostration.

First time staying at this hotel. Very impressed with the hotel. Central location very close to Grand Central station. We had a one bedroom suite which was very spacious and comfortable. All staff were exceptional and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

It was very clean and cozy. The loby had great staff and all had wonderful smiles btw. I'd def stay here again. Very family oeiented as well. The lotion they offer in the bathroom smells so wonderful. Highly recommend this place

We liked everything about this hotel. The rooftop bar was a wonderful spot with clear views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. The bar/ café below was very good and had great options. Our room was dark with no natural light which can be a plus for some, but the kitchenette was a welcome upgrade!
