We had a studio suite which was spacious and comfortable, but also a bit dowdy and the bathroom was small. My husband had lunch at the downstairs restaurant and said his hamburger was very good. The best thing about the hotel is the new rooftop bar and restaurant. Food was very good, view was amazing. The hotel is very conveniently located near Grand Central.

Enjoyed our stay with family and friends. Rooftop bar is a plus with amazing views. Good location walkable to Grand Central. Staff was friendly. Small fitness room was convenient. Some rooms have kitchenette- one evening some inconsiderate guest cooked fish and stank the entire floor. Other than that nonsense , stay was great.

Excellent service!
We upgraded to a one bedroom apartment from a traditional room and it was a great use of space. There was a terrible smell but they switched us without any issue. The service at this hotel was absolutely amazing. 100% would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great location near Grand Central
During a short visit to Manhattan with family, stayed at the Shelburne. Great location close to Grand Central. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a bit noisy by our room at times since it was located directly across from the linen room that housekeeping accessed regularly and door would slam periodically but otherwise, we enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion would be to offer complementary bottled water.

Great Service
Luis who checked us in was very friendly, helpful, and made us laugh a lot during our very fast check in. Everyone we interacted with was friendly. Location was great. Hotel feels very safe. Rooms are a little old but clean. We paid for an upgrade and the room was huge with lots of light. Bar on the roof looked cool but we didn't have time to check it out. Beds were great and the black out curtains really helpful. Price is high but its Manhattan.
