Sweet little hotel on LES
A great, affordable hotel on the lower east side. Great neighborhood, near subway stop. Really friendly staff, too. Rooms are small (it is NYC!) but clean and comfortable.

Overall the Ridge is perfect for an economic room to stay while in expensive NYC! It’s a little cramped but I like the fact you have no need to see staff when arriving. The online checking was seamless.

Haven’t stayed downtown in the city in a long time. It was so much fun to exolore the LES and Wast Village. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The bed/bedding wasn’t the best, but we were so exhausted after exploring the city that we barely noticed.

Very noisy and doors click shut in an off-putting way. Run was moldy and walla in bathroom seemed dirty. Expensive for the place it is. Bed was clean and well made. Would not stay there again

The pros of staying here were that it was a great price, it’s conveniently located on a subway line, and the best pizza in New York is like a two minute walk (pizza loves sauce - thank me later). For our quick stay, the location was great and we were thrilled with the low cost. The cons were that it’s not the cleanest (our end of bed blanket was literally crunchy), the bed wasn’t comfortable, and there’s no parking onsite. We had to park about 4 blocks away which wasn’t the most convenient for carrying our luggage. The hotel is also very low contact - there’s someone on site but it’s generally all automated - this posed a problem when our door code didn’t sync up upon check-in. Also we were right outside the elevator so it was pretty loud. Overall though, for the price it’s a good deal because of the convenient location. It’s not what I would pick if you’re looking for luxury but it does the job and allows you to spend that money elsewhere in the city!

I was give room that was off the lobby and walls were very thin I could hear everything being said in the lobby. And I was woken several times by people who forgot the door code banging on the door-to get someone to let them in I might as well have been just sleeping on the sofa in the lobby at that point was very loud. Also, I woke up to a cockroach walking across the floor, startling and disgusting. honestly, they should’ve paid me to stay there.

we loved our stay!! we stayed in December 2024 and there was staff present during the day. the basement lounge had extra towels, soap, toilet paper, and a filtered water dispenser. the property was quiet, there were multiple dining options within a couple blocks, a close metro station, and it was warm enough to use the roof top patio! the room was clean and comfortable and I felt safe throughout our stay!
