I love this hotel! Have stayed there multiple times. Only problem: noise that kept me from sleeping. But maybe I should have reached out to the staff in the middle of the night. Not sure that would have been welcome. But overall still the best hotel in Greenpoint! and I've stayed in 5 of them.

This is a unique property with nice touches from years past, however, there is no shelf in bathroom so my wife and I had to leave our toiletry kits on the floor or put them in the bedroom. Easy modification which would not ruin the ambience. Some of the decorative pieces including the coffee table were fragile and I was concerned that normal movement around the room or had children been there that they would easily have been damaged.

Almost as trendy as its Greenpoint location
This hotel is in keeping with the location in trendy Greenpoint, Brooklyn. It is modern warehouse style hotel. very informal and perfect for short stays in the area. Surprisingly poor service from the front desk staff on arrival, but otherwise the stay was enjoyable. The room was a decent size, positively large compared to what I expect in Manhattan, and comfortable enough. Decent no frills bathroom.

The Box House is a lovely boutique hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast that we chose to include in our package. Our room was quiet and comfortable, although we could hear footsteps from upstairs. The desk staff wasn’t entirely helpful and kept me on long holds. Please be aware that this property charges a facilities fee that was not included in my Expedia package. I was surprised with additional $240 fee for six nights when we checked in. Neither Expedia, nor the property would refund the fee even though I was never told about it. I was disappointed. I would return to this property as my family lives walking distance away and next time I will be sure to ask about the additional facilities fee.
