Where to begin... The hair on the towels, the giant booger on the wall, the 3 signs in every hall prohibiting prostitution, all the cigarette burns on the bedding and the plastic bag taped around the smoke detector... the hotel itself was pretty grimy. The mere mention of the neighborhood strikes fear into the hearts of New Yorkers, but I found it interesting and vibrant. It must be the only corner of the city left completely untouched by gentrification, which was a breath of fresh air TBH! Close to both the L and 3 trains, which is nice.

Shady/scaty part of town, likely prostitution going on down the hall. Couldn’t stay the second night & lost my money because Expedia dies refund, reschedule… very disappointed

The nastiest, dirtiest, filthiest Hotel i’ve ever been to. Didnt even get a refund back.. from the walls to the sheets to the bathroom to the floors. It seem the room havent been clean since the Hotel opened. Wish I could submit pictures! Wish i could give it a -0 rating.

I stayed here because it was inexpensive. The neighborhood isn’t very nice. The rooms are small and not cleaned very well. If you can afford better don’t stay here.

I recently stayed at the Rockaway Inn in NYC, and it was a disappointing experience. The room was cramped and poorly maintained, with peeling paint and an unkempt bathroom. The noise from the street made it difficult to sleep, and the air conditioning barely worked. The staff seemed indifferent to our concerns, and the amenities advertised were either nonexistent or in disrepair. The location, while near the beach, felt sketchy, and I didn't feel safe walking around at night. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place; there are much better options in the city.
