I would no choose to stay there again, rooms super small, mediocre all the way around, they tried to be somewhat helpful, and read the fine print on the continental breakfast, it aint free

We always stay at this hotel for location and price. Arrived at hotel @10 am and our room was ready! Clean and comfortable. Liquid hand soap is always a plus. Finally, elevators are SLOW so stay on a low floor and take the stairs!

Maybe its because i am from a small town but I was disturbed by crack being smoked right outside the main doors. This in no way reflects upon the decency of the facility or staff though, they were all great.

Decent Stay with Some Drawbacks I stayed at the Holiday Inn Times Square recently and had a mixed experience. The location is a big plus—just a short walk to Times Square, making it incredibly convenient, especially for seeing the New Year’s Eve ball drop. However, there were some notable downsides. The rooms were small but clean, which was fine for a short stay. The bigger issues were outside and within the hotel. The heavy homeless presence in front of the building made the entrance area feel unsafe at times. Inside, one of the elevators was broken, resulting in long waits. On the last day, I had to carry my luggage down several flights of stairs because of the delays, which was frustrating. If proximity to Times Square is your top priority, this hotel works, but be prepared for some inconveniences.

The hotel was fine except one of the elevators was broken, so there was only one small elevator for 36 floors on New Year’s Eve. It was a nightmare. We had to walk down 19 flights of stairs with all of our luggage, because it was always already full each time it got to us. We would have missed our train if we waited until we could fit in one…

The location of the property is good- convenient to many popular attractions and multiple subway stations. The person who checked us in was not super friendly or welcoming, but wasn’t rude either. Our room was adequate, but the bed was not a full King-sized bed, the shower didn’t drain well, the air conditioner my did not work well, and the hair dryer was a fire hazard. The second day of our stay (NYE) one of the elevators stopped functioning, which left one elevator for many people. We chose to climb the stairs the remainder of our stay (8th floor).

Front desk staff was amazing. House keeping would not bring us clean rags to shower unless we requested them multiple times. They were rude about it when you called too. Homeless people were sitting outside at the hotel benches and would try to talk to when coming in at night any that made us feel unsafe.
