Too pricey for such minimalist room
Be aware that some of the rooms don’t have a bathroom and this is poorly advertised by hotels.com. There is not even a toilet so you have to share with other rooms. Not even a table or anything to sit besides the bed. Basically the room consists of a bed and a sink and a mirror. No toilets, no chair, … very sparse comfort for such a ridiculous price

I stayed here with my two teenage daughters for a Christmas trip to NYC. The Americana Inn was affordable and perfectly located. It is a hostel style inn, which we were familiar with. They have a simple complimentary breakfast in the morning (coffee, hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, etc). I highly recommend the Americana Inn if you’re looking for a no frills place to sleep while you explore New York!

Convenient location for shopping and transportation (subway) however I did not like the rooms don't have their own bathrooms & no towels. Sharing bathrooms with other guest makes the ambient so loud throughout the night that I was not able to get any sleep. The rooms are also VERY small.

This property advertises bathrooms inside the rooms that is incorrect, the air was broken, the bathrooms were dirty, they wouldnt supply towels, no robes or slippers to walk accross the FLOOR. terrible i left half way of my stay.

Overall I give it a 5/10. The staff were great, and the bed were comfortable. The only problem was that they only had heater and we had to open the window for cool air. And the street noise was really hard to sleep at night.

A poor choice for staying in NYC
Location is the only thing good about this “hotel”. Otherwise, a poor choice. It feels as if ur sleeping on the sidewalk with all that noise coming from PD and FD sirens, trash trucks and drivers honking all night long. And let’s not forget the mice inside the room trying to feast on ur dinner left overs. Restrooms are shared, there’s not even a chair in the room. stay away from this place..!

This is an extremely basic place to stay. Rooms are tiny and incredibly noisy - the traffic noise is constant - and bathrooms are shared. It might be OK if it was cheap, but it’s not. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere further out for the same price. The trip into Manhattan is worth it for better accommodation.

This place is the best location. We flew to NYC from Australia so it was great to stay here so we could go back with Jetlag and then easily go sightseeing when we woke up again.
