It was too dark and dank. The bathroom was not functional. Shower was brutal and no place to set toiletries. I had been in Palm Springs and LA and would have recommended to a friend, I sadly would not anymore.

Well decorated and cool hotel with rooms in poor conditions. Broken bathroom fixtures, plumbing and showers. Noisy and almost no isolation between rooms, hard to sleep at night. Close to all attractions and lots of dining options around.

The architecture in the lobby was beautiful and despite the busy bar area our room was quiet and comfortable with a great pressure shower in the bathroom

Convenient location for midtown. Our double room had a table which was convenient for breakfast or dining in. It's an older building so you need to accept that the shower drain isn't great. The staff was friendly. I wish the air conditioning in the lobby wasn't so cold.

The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to major sites. Our king bed was really big and comfortable. The staff member who stored our laughed was extremely nice. Unfortunately at checkin we were not told about any of the benefits included in the urban fee (e.g. discounts for F&B). We booked a medium king room and it was extremely dark even in daylight as it was at the second floor and facing another building (just a few meters away).

Hotel might have been hip 14 years ago, but our stay was very disappointing. Had to wait 40 minutes for check in because the room was not ready even when we showed after 3pm. Awful smell in the bathroom (old sewer system?) was the worst part. Carpet was wet and moist. Wouldn’t stay here again..

Overall it was a fine hotel for a 4 night stay in NYC. Great location for sure. There were just some strange happenings (seemed like someone entered our room and left stuff behind…also found clothing articles of previous guests on the floor…) and some amenities missing…like no coffee in the room. Design of hotel is a nice vibe…but the wall coverings in our room were stained so made it feel a bit neglected. Staff were friendly and helpful. Water was hot and ac was welcome in the heat!

From first impressions to check out, the Ace Hotel delivered. The front desk staff was awesome - very laid back but attentive at the same time. A few things to note: 1) excellent mattress quality, 2) really appreciated the full size fridge and dining table 3) good quality grooming products and 4) small but functional gym Thanks Ace for the great stay!

When i walked in,i could already see pretty nice hotel. My stay was good. But one second later when I wasn’t looking at the door.. the doors closes behind me😤 as I were there stranded without no keys 😰 this is not the hotel fault just saying this. Just letting you know, the door closes pretty quickly. I was there, crying with fear🙏🙏 I love you guys. Thank you for reading my sentence.

Birthday Trip
Had a very nice experience at Ace Hotel. Pet friendly, rooms are eclectic, a retro vibe. Nice quiet floor, and no street noise, as their located on busy streets.Room had an interesting, well stocked mini bar, and amenities. Housekeeping was very attentive, and the lobby was a good place to meet friends, relax, or just listening to music and having drinks.
