Great location, amazing and helpful staff, good that they have water in the lobby during daytime, good wifi. We got two bottles of complimentary wine because of hotels.com membership and I told them my partner and I were celebrating our anniversary. The shower was fine but the water stream was not strong enough and there was no venting system. At night we got water from the water fountain in Lower Lobby but the water stream was really weak and it took a long time to refill my bottle. I think there was something wrong with their key card system because we stayed for two nights but every night our cards stopped working and I had to ask the hotel staff to reactivate it for us.

1. Great location. Very close to Grand Central and many points of interest. 2. Staff was great, particularly at the front desk. 3. Room was very nice, simple yet elegant, very clean and had a great view of Park Avenue. An excellent place to stay at in New York!

My husband and I shared a room with two queen beds for unclear reasons which was fine except that the room was dusty and the floor was cracking. I couldn’t walk one step without hearing the wood cracking and making noises. We couldn’t sleep properly as we woke each other up everytime we walked in the room. The bathroom was tiny. When I told the front desk on check out they told me they can’t do anything now but I should have cqlled and they would have changed my room. Well i didn’t want to do that in the middle of the night! They didn’t even offer to compensate us in any way. We wanted to get an early check in but the property wanted to charge an extra 75$ to do that although the price of the room was around 420$ for the night. We had a free bottle of wine with my expedia vip membership, they brought us a 5$ bottle of wine (LOL). There was no coffee machine in the room and no complementary coffee in the lobby. they fortunately got me one when i asked but this is unprecendented for a 4 star hotel This all might seem futile but when I book a 4 star hotel for 420$ a night, I expect a 4 star experience which i didn’t have and I will never be staying in this hotel again or recommending it in any way
