The good: the property was minutes away from our pickleball menu. The room was nice and clean. The bad: Minimal staff on the property, everything is generally virtual/AI. When trying to get our microwave replaced, maintenance never showed up. We needed and asked for hand towels, no response. We left text messages, no or late responses. We paid a pretty good premium for our room and yet we were charged $120 to park! That really sucked. Our room was right outside of an overpass so noisy traffic. We should be comped at least 2 of the 4 days we stayed.
BE WARNED - this is a SUPER loud hotel. It’s located under a bypass so it’s like you’re sleeping in the Indy 500. Zooming, racing cars revving their engines through the night. They clearly know about this because they provide a sound machine but it was so loud it cut through the sound machine. I lived in NYC for 10 years and I’ve never experience noise like this. In addition, the pull out sofa was covered in dirt. The sheets had stains, the sink clogged with just running water when washing my face, the bed was sinking on one side. The hotel refused to take ownership for any of this. I feel like the hotel had a responsibility to disclose the noise factor from their location. I felt duped into booking this stay that appeared better than it was. This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever had.
The room was nice and modern, but my son was trapped in the elevator for over an hour. Customer service was not able to reach anyone, so I had to call 911 to help get him out safely.
Very clean. Property was well kept. Super close to the convention center- less than 3 min. The only thing I would say is the outside doors to the overall building were not locked even though it says a code is required. There is also no attendant at the front or in the parking area like stated. Parking is expensive (90.00).
I like the idea of minimal staffing but it was heavily disorganized. We arrived and the initial room we booked was already taken so after waiting for about an hour we finally got a different room which had limited towels - When we asked where can we get more towels, the lady on the phone told us that she will make a request and the earliest would be the next day. Super disorganized. Missing items (we had an ironing board but no iron). The pool mentioned was a 17min walk from the hotel.
Headboard of the bed was dirty. They didn’t care . Bed frame broke in the middle of the night luckily we didn’t have any severe injuries other than back soreness from a lopsided bed. Requested a new room or atleast getting a repair. Was told they were coming at a certain time and I came back to meet them . No show. Another 3 hours passed and they finally showed up and “attempted” to fix the bed frame with pieces of wood. (Bed frame was missing a metal bracket) . They told me the bed was fixed when I arrived back at the hotel it was poorly repaired looked rushed. And now the bed was floating on one side because of the brackets he made lifted one side of the bed higher.
the parking was confusing & very expensive! We were told by the hotel manager to park on the back wall it was free! but they had 2 guys in the parking lot charging folks to come in! it wasn’t a set price they were charging because we told them what we were willing to pay & the accepted! they were just sitting in chairs in the lot the whole weekend
This was the oddest and most vaguely described anticipated experience. I literally never even saw anyone at the front desk ever. No one responded to my texts from either of the phone numbers. The towels provided had so many holes in them that they were useless! We checked out early and got a different hotel. The strangest place on earth masquerading as a hotel when it’s a hostel!
There were only 2 remotes to the TVs one of the bedrooms TV didn’t have a remote. Both of the showers water were cold, the water never got hot. Also when we left we were putting the luggage in the car. We left a piece of luggage in the lobby trying to load the car but we thought we could get back in the lobby but we couldn’t and had to call the 24 hour customer service and we could not get through. It was terrible. And the other pool was too far.

Not a bad place
This is one of those self service “unattended” hotels. Not even sure if it qualifies as a hotel. Our room was decent. They were recently renovated within the last few years. Our room was right on the street so it was fairly noisy both from street traffic and people entering. There is a rooftop area but it’s only a place used to go smoke weed. It’s convenient if you are attending a meeting at the convention center. It’s a 15 minute walk to Canal street. Several restaurants are close by.
I had a pleasant experience. The check-in process was a little tedious having to find a link inside a link inside a text message. The space was clean and well appointed and in a great location close to the event center and dining options. I will book here again.
