Check in was a breeze and the receptionist was super friendly. The bed was comfortable in our first room, but we had to change rooms because out bathtub wouldn't drain. The bed in the room we were moved to wasn't as comfortable but not bad. The second room's bathroom had some sort of air leak and you could faintly smell sewage when the room above flushed their toilet. Overall, the room and bathroom were clean. Things were just really run down though. The carpets REALLY need to be cleaned. The parking situation is wonderful and the men who work the valet were awesome. Check out was super quick. The hotel is one block from Bourbon St. but you don't hear all the noise. Around 7:30 AM-ish you'll get an unwanted trash truck wake-up call. Overall, it's a decent hotel.

Just not a good stay
Most of the staff were very friendly if not completely trained. We overcharged for our stay and had a second staff member to fix it. Hopefully they did. It was very hot in the room. The ice machine on our floor was broken.

We have stayed here before and loved it. This time we stayed across the street in the Hermann house. The room was fine but the walls were very thin & we could hear everything in the rooms around us & above us. We figured it wouldn't be completely silent, so close to Bourbon St, but this was just room noise. Everything else was great. Fresh towels everyday & very comfy beds.

Offers a true French Quarter experience. Like the French Quarter, the Dauphine has seen better days and is starting to show its age. Some of the facilities could use upkeep, but it's still got it where it counts.

The hotel itself was very nice. It was our room that was a disappointment. It was small with two queen beds squeezed in together. Barely room to move about. We were three adult females with all of our things and no place to put anything. There was one desk and chair that almost had no bottom. The bathroom had very slow drains especially the shower which also had hardly any pressure. We did enjoy the saltwater pool and the staff were friendly. But for the price we paid on the whole we were not happy with our room.

fun location but needs improvement
Our stay at the Dauphine Orleans was fun but the room was a bit run down. The coffee maker didn't work properly, the bedding was worn, and the bathroom needed some TLC. Our last day the person cleaning our room woke us up before 9am despite a do not disturb sign. When we went to breakfast, she started cleaning our room before we checked out at noon. The hotel has a great location but needs some improvements.

Tired old hotel with excellent staff
This old historic hotel in the heart of the French Quarter is in a perfect location. The staff are very friendly and bend k we backwards to ensure you are happy. This is, however, a very tired property in need of significant updating. One of the two beds was simply worn out, uneven. The fan in the bathroom squeaked nonstop when on, and the sink drain in bathroom was very slow. It was not worth the price we paid. Until they renovate, we will likely not return. Again, the staff were outstanding.

The hotel didn’t look anything like the pictures on Expedia. The 2 ladies working Saturday and Tuesday days were very nice and helpful. The evening staff were very rude. Richard who helps with parking and luggage was amazing.
