The hotel is 2 blocks from canal street and really convenenient to walk around. The room has modern contemporary look. It feels clean. What we didnt like: the staffs were nice but none smiled at us during our stay. Noone offered rolling cart to help with our luggages. While holiday in next door had their staffs greeting guests outside and offered help. The elevator in the main lobby was down so we had to use the one in the back. It would not be a problem if we didnt have 2 elders with us climbed up and down the stairs to get to the room once we got out from elevator. The instruction to the room was not clear either. We had to make a whole circle to find our room which is on the right to elevator. The bathroom has no trash can which i found its annoying. Also water drainned really slow in the shower which almost flooded if we showered for too long. The phone in the room to front fesk always busy or no work. The looby is small. The hotel is overal small and narrow.

We enjoyed our stay at AC Marriott. This property was clean and had a great shower. Gym was good and had a free laundry which was great. Parking was expensive but seemed to be the going price for New Orleans. Only downfall was the noise from outside is very loud this will wake you during the night. The base from cars outside shakes the whole room this goes on for sometime as they tend to do laps, it does eventually stop.

Probably not a Second Stay
The atmosphere was nice inside, very elegant when walking in. The woman was very sweet to greet us every time we returned or wish us well when leaving. Valet was okay. They retrieved our car the best they could each time, given the busy area. I wish we got the text that our car was ready when we were going home. We never got a text. We had to constantly get up and check. The hotel location is great. It was in walking distance to every where we needed to go. At night the hotel is noisy. I don't know if it was neighbors or the staff, but it was close to the time staff would clean. A door kept slamming every 3min in our hallway while we were sleeping. This caused dogs to bark, which I had no idea the hotel allowed pets. I did expect at least some peace at night. I also did not expect the hall to smell of cigarettes, and then urine every time we returned to get to our room. Overall stay was poor vs the vibe in the lobby.

Hotel is a dump, find somewhere else.
This hotel is run down and in a crappy part of town. Lots of homeless and drug attics hanging around outside, hotel front desk staff was terrible and unprofessional at best. This hotel is a disgrace. Looks like Marriott bought an old run down hotel and slapped a little lipstick on the pig. Room condition is terrible, beat up, doors don’t close right, bathroom had hair in it, and so on. Avoid this place.

Fine for what it is.
My stay was fine. I had a windowless room which was less than ideal. The property is nice but could really use an update. My biggest complaint would be that my room wasn’t cleaned. They emptied my trash cans and picked up old towels but the bed wasn’t made, fresh towels weren’t brought.
